In an effort to see all of the Oscar Nominations this year for once, the lady and I went and saw this last night.

I was surprisingly very entertained by this. I'm a bit of a history buff, so the historical events behind the film got me hooked initially. The acting in this movie is incredible. Colin Firth is going to win the Best Actor for his portrayal of the Duke of York/King George VI. It definitely glosses over some of the history; I'm guessing in an effort to make Firth's character a bit more likable since being a Nazi sympathizer, which he initially was. is a bit of a hot button issue

It's something different than typical mainstream movies, and well worth your 7-12$
:D :D :D 1/2 out of :D :D :D :D

Just saw this the other day - I didn't have high expectations, but this was a great performance by Firth, and Geoffrey Rush was pretty good as well, IMO

I'm with you. If I want to be entertained by a stutterer I'll listen to howard stern.
