Yeah, that's one of the better his better compilation albums.

If you're looking for original albums and you don't mind actually paying for music ( ), you should go on Amazon. Most of the albums are being re-released on mp3. Only buy the songs you want. That's how music shopping should've always been.

Yeah, I should look into that. I guess I am kind of old school because I like to
browse around and actually feel the cd in my hands. Unfortunately it is getting
very difficult to find things I like this way. I had to go to the mall a few weeks
ago and while the wife was shopping I tried to scope out a music store to
waste some time. I was dumbfounded when one of the larger malls in the northern
burbs didn't even have a music store anymore. That is when I realized everyone
is getting their stuff online or from iTunes. I need to get with the program I guess.

At the risk of further inciting the Vampire Weekend fan who posts here, I'd like to clarify my position on that dreadful band using Phish as a counterpoint.

I'm certain the phrase, "Phish sucks" has escaped my lips, probably more than once. But that is simply an expression of my dislike for Phish. Vampire Weekend sucks in a completely different way. While the music of Phish is not supported by my personal tastes or sensibilities, I can understand the appeal it has for certain people. I would never deride Darkside or boyd for enjoying their music.

Vampire Weekend, on the other hand, is completely irredeemable. Their "music" is utter garbage. Derivative crap derived in the most simplistic and inept way possible. Other bands that fall into this category would be Sum 41 and Good Charlotte. There is no reason for them to exist.

Fuck it. I've got to clear my head with "Suspect Device".

Cold War Kids - Mine Is Yours

Pretty solid effort, the songs are really good but I am disappointed by the
production. They worked with a new guy Jacquire King who has done albums
with Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse and others. Basically he appears to have
cleaned up the band's sound and made them more radio friendly. Their rough
around the edges sound is one of the big reasons I liked them so that is my
only beef with the disc.
