Saw one of those one hour special on fanous crimes/killers. Today was the BTK Killer in Witchita.

Quick summary - guy went on a killing spree, 20+ years ago, then started again in post 2000. Cops confirmed it was same guy via DNA.

Amazingly dumb, guy sends the cops a computer disk with images. Cops do some quick tracing and find out who the guy was via tracing the disk.

Even dumber was the killer asking if he sends a disk, if they wont trace it? They say they won't, but of course they did.

After he was caught, the only thing he is mad about is that they lied to him about not tracing the disk???? lol

And if you don't know about this guy, he was classic 57 year old middle class white guy from the local lutheran church where he was President of the church! Never suspected, etc etc.

Yeah, especially after he was arrested. Looked like he dropped a ton of weight. being in a cell might do that to you.

My GF watches that crap on constant repeat on the weekends. It's always the same shit. If it's a wife who's killed, the husband always ends up getting arrested and convicted, often without much evidence beyond the marriage cert.

Whereas if it's a hubby who's killed, they can have HD video of the wife not only committing the act but also planning it out ahead of time for no reason beyond she wanted his ca$h and it's 50/50 if the jury will convict--so the prosecutors don't go for 1st degree and the wife gets maybe 3 yrs med security for cold-blooded homicide.

Loved the old guy who was broke, shot his wife then went on the run and to support himself robbed banks and other stores. When they caught him he had a llist of places he robbed, because he was getting old and didnt want to hit the same place twice! So he wrote them all down. lol
