Undeserving?

Andy Eugene Pettitte has 240 major league wins, and has won more post-season games than any pitcher IN MAJOR LEAGUE HISTORY!! In case you don't know, baseball has been around over one hundred (100) years, so that is a pretty long history! Let us play a game: you name a pitcher and I will tell you if Andy Eugene Pettitte has more playoff wins than that pitcher. Let me give you a hint - here is how the game goes:

Q: (Insert the name of any pitcher in baseball history)
A: YES, Andy Eugene Pettitte has more playoff wins than (any name you could ever think of).

eh, you could have put dozens of starting pitchers around the league in his role ..with that run support not difficult to rack up wins.. he was fortunate to have the best lineup money could buy. not hof in my book...( terry bradshaw or phil rizuto either )

He's a piece of shit cheater and when the piece of shit cheater got caught cheating we did what all piece of shit cheaters do, he blamed someone else. In this piece of shit cheaters case he tried to blame it on his Dad. Don't let the door hit you in the ass, piece of shit cheater. Good riddance indeed.

Keyser, we have a lot of the same baseball thoughts. He cheated just like the rest of the lot that caught. He can't get in the hall if the rest can't.

U crazy

Rizutto is part of the reason you dont speak German, but thats a story for a different day.

Regarding Andrea, He cheated. Thats clear. Thats a fair shot at him.

But to discount what he did on the mound is just foolish.

Without steroids, he's a first ballot HOFer No question.

Why does Bonds get benefit of the doubt?

Pettite probably didnt do roids til he got to Houston, just like Bonds supposedly wasnt cheating til 99

IMO, its either you put them all in or none of them get in.

No one knows when or what happened in each case

That record is way over-played. The only reason he has racked up more playoff wins than other greats is because he got the chance to pitch in 2 extra playoff series every year, throughout his entire career. Don't get me wrong, Pettitte was a great pticher, but I would put him as a borderline HOF pitcher.

If you put Pettitte in the HOF, do you also put in Mike Mussina, Jamie Moyer, Frank Tanana, or Jack Morris? I wouldn't.

Youre right, for some reason I thought Pettite was closer to 260 or 270

Morris would be in my hall of fame though.

i give bonds benefit of doubt because he shattered the record books when he started hgh ,after sosa n mcguire went from bums to outstanding... bonds went from outstanding to greatest of all time... what about rizzuto's 38 career homeruns or 563 rbi screams hall of fame?

Ted Williams doesn't deserve to be in the HOF.

Pettitte will not make the Hall of Fame. I always thought he had a little Gwen Stefani in him.

I will be damned if I am going to sit back and let some maniac like 312 Player degrade a true American hero like Phil "The Scooter" Rizzuto. It is a very good thing that we are not having this discussion at a bar somewhere, because there might be fisticuffs. This would probably lead to jail, and my wife would be very steamed. I definitely do not need that much aggravation in my otherwise exceptionally pleasant life.

If you love your freedoms, thank Phil "The Scooter" Rizzuto. If, however, you would prefer to watch ESPN's Monday Night Bundesliga while eating sauerkraut and speaking gutteral German to your corpulent hausfrau, then curse Phil "The Scooter" Rizzuto's name.
