I may be in a large minority here, but when I settle in for a night in front of the tv I have a short attention span. I may start with a movie, but after 45 minutes I feel like playing a video game. Then, after playing a game for a little while I often feel like playing a different game or watching more of the movie i started. Nowadays, switching between media like that is not very practical and quite time consuming.

I would love it if in the future, game consoles had multi chamber disk carousels similar to CD players. That way you could throw a couple games in there and a blu ray movie as well and then all you had to do was press a remote button and you instantly switch to other media. No more loading times or taking disks in and out 5x a night.


Is this something that would interest you guys or am I alone on this?

I watch more streaming movies than anything else these days... I haven't even used my PS3 as a blueray player, so it is nice flipping between playing a game and netflix...

That's a good point. With everything moving towards downloading/streaming we are more likely to see a new console with no disk drive than with multiple drives.
