Yeah, not a smart move at all with the timing of it. However, being that it will ignite a negative portrayal of Rex (even moreso than before) in the media, it will no doubt further perpetuate the Bears' "no respect, us against the world" mantra within the locker room.

The Score has played a sound byte in which he tells reporters that they're ignorant because they don't know what the Bears do on offense.

He called the writer idiots. He said they write things without thinking just to sell papers or they go off fans reactions. He also said something about the fans abusing his family during a few games but he said all of it is worth it when they are winning.

Wow! I didn't hear that. That's bad, dumb.

Sounds like everything he's saying is true. Too bad he can't be honest without getting raped by the media.

How long until Mariotti climbs up on his soapbox and demands that Rex goes to sensitivity training?

Actually he only had to hold off about 5 more minutes. I watched it live this morning and it was right at the end of his last media session of the week. They have been baiting him into it all week. I can't blame him for saying it.

Maybe he did it on purpose just to give a F-U to the reporters since he knew they wouldn't be able to talk to him until after the Super Bowl. If he wins, nobody cares. If he loses, they'll talk bad about him anyway. I didn't consider this when I first heard it, but now I wonder.

He just had to hold out for today. Today is the last day the media has acess to the players. Coaches just talk tomorrow. So what though Nas. This will have no effect on the outcome of the game. He didn't say anything horrible. It's no big deal. He's just frustrated at looking at all of these idiots with the same stupid question.

I hear that Joe Buck was there and said that that was the most disgusting thing he's ever heard. ;)

But I'm sure he said it in a way that made it absolutely riveting and sophisticated.

First and FOREMOST...F UCK JOE BUCK...i EFFING HATE THAT SACK OF $h!T...

Secondly, this is GREAT for the Beloved AND for Rex. When i heard the clip on S&C, I heard that "i'm so frustrated people are STILL talking about this, so i'm gonna go out and have an AWESOME game" in his voice...whenever he has "felt" this way, and voiced up on it, he's done absolutely great!

Rex always seems to respond well when things seem to be at it's worst. I've been a big doubter of Rex for certain parts of the season but it has gone way overboard now. He is not the worst QB in super bowl history and he will have a better game than many QB's have had in the super bowl.

He is inconsistent and makes stupid decisions that can lose games for the Bears but when it counted, he didn't in these last 2 games and deserves credit for keeping the turnovers down.

The media has been wrong about the Bears all year, hopefully it continues.

Rex has done this throughout the playoffs - each week before the game, he has brewed up this anger and indignation at the media, and used it to fuel his performance.
