every cub fan is excited about kerry wood and believes it was a good move... i do not ... i have seen enough of wood in my lifetime. i did not want wood in 2006 when hendry gave him 12 million or 07 when he threw more money at this guy. i would prefer a 21 year old kid who is an unknown. i did not like the pena move either.. .. i liked the garza pick up though . was just curious about other people thoughts on wood.

For the contract he signed, it's a low risk, high reward move.

Not sure how you can't like it???? It's close to the minimum?

I admire Kerry for taking less money to return to the Cubs because he likes it here & he feels that he owes the organization. He certainly wont be the worst pitcher in the bullpen for the Cubs. I wonder if he'll miss the towel drill though?

cubs are not contenders for a world series...not even really for the central division... paid this buster a fortune already ... he will almost certainly land on dl...why not have a cheaper prospect fill his role

If Wood doesn't pitch well you didn't pay him much and his poor performance is
what a lot of people were expecting. I think he'll do alright. He wants to be
here, he is a good clubhouse guy and veteran. If he does get hurt he'll do it
giving the Cubs everything he has and would stick around to work with any
young guys that they bring up to fill his spot. Cubs are a long shot to do
anything so I see this as a perfectly good move.
