Looking through Trib photo shots of the fans getting autographs, only one pic of a kid in the bunch? I stopped gettign autogrpahs when I was 12? with the exception of Johnny Mengelt and the last ever MJH Tailgate football signed by lotsa people, that is laying in storage somewhere

Even worse at Bears training camp. People are nuts about getting autographs there as I'm sure you know. I still like to get an occasional autograph to go in my Brush with Fame type memorabilia section of my second bedroom, but not is some ridiculous frenzy type situation to acquire it.

I saw Quentin on TV last night. He not only looked smaller, he looked soft. Even his face was different. But I don't think this stuff is a surprise. The Cubs have a guy batting third and juiced out of his mind and he's pretty much telling everybody, "Catch me if you can."

I would take Marlon Byrd as the exception to all cases. Not trying to say he is or isn't using PED's or just PED's they don't know about yet. Might even say Byrd is the cleanest guy in MLB?

He is like the guy driving recklessly down the street, with the empty beer cans falling out of his car and they keep stopping him for DUI and he keeps passing.

Even Bernie on HBO sports said he felt Conte was clean now, but that doesn't mean he is.

CQ had an injury riddled minor league career, had a breakout year when he was able to stay healthy for 6 months (spring training, 5 months of the season), then got hurt again. Since then, he's had nagging injuries. So, certainly he was on the juice in 2008!

Marlon Byrd was signed after a career high in HRs. He must have been on the juice!

I would not defend any player and I never have. I can still have an opinion on guys like Byrd, who is a unique case at this point. Nobody has the microscope on them like this guy and he has not denied anything. Yet, still they find nothing.

As an opinion, I don't think Prior ever used anything and it is not because he is a good guy, but because he was such a pussy and would be scared to do that stuff as he would never go under the knife while he as here.

I also don't think Big Frank used anything as he could still hit 20 HR's when he was 40+. His bat speed. flexibility, batting average etc left him but he still had power at the end of his career. I would bet he could hit out HR's during BP at an alarming rate even today.

Soto, there is a user. he is a guy who got a stroke down, learned to hit well, but needed power. BAM! Power in a bottle. Matt Murton, chose not to take the juice with doubles power= HR champ in Japan!

This is about Kenny. Who made it very clear No Sox players have ever used or will ever use roids! Then he got back on the treadmill.

I know you monitor every player, but when a guy has the checklist of signs and passes the eye test of roids, like CQ did, don't try and tell me how you found a guy and because of your skills to judge talent, that is why he contributed.
