Let me start with the reason KI is Crazy Ivan.

1. "Talks with Goff" How long would that TALK be? 32 seconds? Even if they brought Goff in as a 3rd guy, it would be 15 seconds then.

2. Mitch is Mac's guy. Nobody is going anywhere.

3. Even if you don't like Spiegs, I think you would agree the guy must be hurting to not be able to talk at this point, thus a medical condition. Tough for major corp to release a guy while out for any reason. Espeically those with in house legal departments.

4. Under the circumstances, I can see how someone might be able to create such a rumor.

5. If you are an Otolaryngologist, then I could respect your opinion that serious issues have arisen.

I was skeptical about this. Thought it might be an early "April Fools joke". But it's more fun to go with it and feed the rumor. You're right. Talks with Goff wouldn't take long. He'd yell "Hell yeah" and sign the contract before he knew the offer in like 10 seconds. Then he'd come on here and yell "I'm rich, bitches!!!!"

This seems as legitimate as anything though, knowing that there are a lot of contracts up this summer, and potential for a lot of movement between midday and afternoon...

I don't think Spiegel would be released. He does have talent. He just doesn't work as well with Mac as Goff does and all of Spiegel's time off allowed that to become obvious. Spiegel is really good with baseball and gets good reviews for hit and run.

They could find a role for him that allows him to sing in his band and work when he wants to on the Score.
