It was the last G&R album with the original members, and it's all covers, but that's not important right now.

 It is a bunch of covers of 70s punk rock and various other songs. Not the greatest but
I always enjoyed it growing up and couldn't pass up paying $4.99 for it whilst digging for cds
a while back. They have a hidden track at the end that was written by Charles Manson and
performed by Axl Rose. It was stuck on the back end of the album even though Axl Rose's
bandmates didn't want it on there. That is probably the album's biggest claim to fame.

Their "Hair of the Dog' cover was pretty good. I don't know why they didn't include the "Sympathy for the Devil" cover on the album, i'm pretty sure it was released around the same time.

Yeah, that was pretty good and got some radio play if I remember correctly. There are a
couple of other good ones on there like Down on the Farm by The UK Subs and Human Being
by The New York Dolls. The album isn't even really played like actual punk music, just the
band having a good time doing some remakes they probably listened to growing up.

Pearl Jam 1995 bootleg from Summerfest. This was the poster
for their tour that year. Yes, I bought it and still have it.
Sponsored by No One refers to their battle with TicketMaster.

So far, I'm not really feeling it. May have to give it a few more spins. A couple of tracks are ok...

Agreed. God Willin is excellent although I think Trouble just edges it out for best.
I haven't been able to find the other album yet so I may have to break down and
get it off iTunes. I have some type of compulsion to have the actual disc that is
holding me back. Have you heard the other album? I think it is called Till The Sun
Turns Black.

Yep

I have it...I downloaded it from eMusic. It's not bad, but not as good as any of the other 3

Glad I asked. I'll stop looking for it then.

What do you mean by overproduced?
I think Lasers is pretty good. Not as good as F&L or The Cool.

Quick...point out which hip hop/rap album that has been released in the past 10 years that isn't "over produced." They are all slick and pristine. That's what happens when you use pro tools and virtual sound technology.

"over produced" is on par with "they don't play defense" when people are talking NBA.

There are some artists who chose to use very simplistic beats and there are some who want more.

To call it garbage is silly. Lupe has good flow, solid lyrics and the music on the album is pretty good...

I think it's pretty funny that a teenager is giving a history lesson on a genre that he defined as dying when he was in Junior High.

even the old 8bit 808 beats have been resampled to 32 or 64 bit, so simplistic beats are as slick as everything else produced nowadays. Just listen to a few Bez tracks if you need examples of DIY song construction.

"mainstream..." :P
of course bagels would come up with a list of 50.

nevertheless, even those albums are crisper and sharper (I would guess) since none of them were put to 2" tape.

R59 is the illest, and I repeat, THE ILLEST rapper of the last 10 years. He's my hip hop idol, and the one who I most blatantly try to patent my style after. Thank you very much...

GIVE IT UP FOR ROYCE 5-9, LADIES & GENTLEMEN!!!!

Have you listened to any Slaughterhouse stuff? I think they just had an EP come out that I haven't heard yet. Like 5 or 6 tracks on it probably.

They're all pretty good together. Joell Ortiz is ridiculous and Royce kills it constantly. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do on Em's label...

Yeah, I've heard their whole first album. It's almost not even fair because Royce is just head and shoulders so far superior to the rest of them. I would've preferred to have seen Royce sign solo with Shady Aftermath. I pretty much have every album and mixtape Royce has ever done.
