Since you know Gridiron Assasin, I invite you to play Mac vs. the board here. Which one of these is NOT an alternate message board identity of Gridiron Assasin?

1. Linda S.
2. Beef Rockmore
3. Krazy Ivan
4. Jim DeRevolting
5. None of the above...they all are ghosts of Gridiron.

Get all 4 of them in a room Coast and if they can't answer 1 Bears trivia question correct , there is your answer.

Are either of these statements true?

1. Traffic's "Dear Mr. Fantasy" is the greatest rock and roll song of all time

2. "Teenage Lament '74" was Alice Coopers finest moment

in lieu of a couple of today's callers..

what, if any, responsibility does the station have if a caller gets past the delay and a comment like, 'joe buck you fucking suck!,' makes it onto the air?

Both are false. Traffic's best song would be Glad/Freedom Rider and Alice Cooper's finest moment was either Billion Dollar Babies or when I saw him at Star Plaza and he donned a shirt that said "Brittney Wants Me."

Mac,

What's going on with Ernie Scanton? In the past, it seemed as though a break would not go by without hearing the sounds of the raspy brotha in a voice over. I don't hear about him that much, if at all anymore. Has he moved on to bigger and better things?

Mac,

How do you feel about North & Fred strongly implying that they stood strong against Strahan while you did a cut and run?

Finji / Justin C., please give Darkside's suggestion some consideration. Even after the inevitable censorship of some questions, I still think that there will be plenty of topics that will make for excellet radio between 6-7pm.

Nice job, Darkside! You nailed it!

Mac,
Disregard my question. I just heard the good DR during the last 2 breaks. He's still alive and working. Sorry, you know I'm always asking about my fellow bruhs...

Hey Mac,

Are you doing a golf outing again this year? I went to the first 2 or 3 and it was a great time. But, I know you thought it was a hassle and stopped for a couple years and then started having it in the Great White North and I could never get a flight to get up there ( :D ).

If I remember the first few were to support Autism research which made it a double bonus for me as I'm glad to support this cause having been affected by it personally and it was a great time to boot. So, I was just curious.

Hey Mac,

What went down with that Dave Toub to Philly exclusive???

Please tell me that Chico wasn't your source of that leak and that was the reason he was let go.

Mac,

With the Score apparently not renewing Northie's contract it looks like another washed up sports radio legend will be knocking on your door looking for a gig.. My question is would you help North look for a spot at your station and has Mike lost focus on what it takes to be successful in sports radio ?

I doubt North will be knocking on Mac's door. North's show is painful, but he still is a very recognizable name in Chicago radio so there will be people pursuing him. Coupled with the fact that he's successfully created the allusion that he brings in all this advertisement, which naturally radio execs are ultimately interested in.

Would Mac and North work? Nahh, but I'd listen just to hear who kills who first. Throw in Salsibury and we'll get the ultimate screamfest

Mac, here's a note in Feder's 3/23 column. How does this affect MVP?

Quote:
After more than a year's delay, the Federal Communications Commission on Thursday unanimously approved the sale of 24 ABC Radio stations by Walt Disney Co. to Citadel Broadcasting.
Included in the $2.7 billion deal are two Chicago stations -- news/talk WLS-AM (890) and "True Oldies" WZZN-FM (94.7). Two other ABC stations here -- ESPN sports/talk WMVP-AM (1000) and Radio Disney WRDZ-AM (1300) -- have shifted to other Disney units.

Sounds like they are still owned by Disney, so doesn't sound like anything major....
