But now you're changing your story. You said he never sniffed a Cy Young. You were wrong. You do this with alot of your posts.

i.e. All other Titan's QB's had a better record than Vince Young (also wrong).

he was closer to a cy young than i thought..correct. and nothing has changed vince young is still a bum and prior is too. both will be known for never meeting their full potential.

No one is arguing against that. But don't make statements that are clearly wrong and then just fall back on "Well, they suck anyway".

I'd even argue, at least in Prior's case, that being injured doesn't make you a bum. He clearly works hard to recover and his talent when healthy and performance when healthy was never a question.

never said " all other titans qb have more wins than vince young" i said you could put almost anyone on that team and they would win a decent amount of games. which is true kerry collins (washed up and very old) was a better qb than vince young.

Here's what you said that was false:

312player wrote:
anyone that stepped in at q.b. for the titans had a decent win%

That was wrong.

Kerry Collins Win % = 46.9% (That's not decent, that's not even average)
Vince Young Win % = 63.8%

Once I pointed out your error, you went to the "Well, he still sucks" argument.

I never thought that about Prior. Never thought that for a second.

I always thought Wood busted his ass to get back on the field.

I watched Prior pitch an inning for the Yankees the other night and he looked pretty good. He's noticably smaller and wasn't throwing nearly as hard but he snapped off a couple nasty curveballs. Not sure if he's going to break camp with the big club but he'll probably get a shot when the Yanks 4-5 starters ERA's approach double digits.

If he can't beat out Bartolo Colon, he doesn't deserve to be on an MLB club.

I figured at this point, Prior would be a middle reliever, and an effective one at that.

I probably could have phrased that a bit better. I was trying to say that clearly he's not a quitter considering the 8 years of various injuries and set backs he's gone through.

the yanks have one of the worst rotations in the majors...prior still can not get a spot.. the weight loss is probably due to being off anabolic steroids, like wood and ivan rodriguez and many others who slimmed down and production nosedived.

Wood was actually pretty skinny when he came up. Then bulked up and his production went down. Then he slimmed down and he started being able to pitch again.

Skinny when he came up?

No

In 1998, Wood was listed at 6'5" and 210 lbs. Today, Wood is listed at 6'5" and 210 lbs.

"Again, it was anticipated," a focused Williams said. "So in that anticipation, I’m still very encouraged that we’re ahead of the curve. We are ahead of where we thought we would be. I’m a little disappointed in the play that it’s gotten because I’ve tried to warn everybody from the outset we were looking at a blip that was going to come at some point in time. So in my mind, we never stopped planning for that.”

Williams said Peavy will continue to receive medicine to reduce the irritation, adding that doctors told him there is no risk of the latissimus dorsi muscle becoming detached again.

Peavy will resume throwing this weekend, Williams said.

I just consider Peavy a throw in at this point. If he comes back and wins more games than he loses then good, but if he simply doesn't come back and is "Brandon Webb'ed" for the rest of the year (anyone who had him on their fantasy team a few years back knows what I'm talking about) I don't think it's all the big a deal in the W-L column.

As for the money/prospects that were risked on this gamble, yes, that sucks hard.

Not removing him from any PED rumors, but if you know any other players whose wives are involved in nutrition the way Sara Wood is and what they are trying to do with the Chicago Public Schools entire lunch program, you might realize why he is back down to 210.

Related Note: Basically The Woods, are pushing smaller portions very hard in the City Schools and TEACHING a CLASS to kids on how to eat better. Also allowing more snack breaks with fruits etc.

Organic School Project is what she is working on.
