Her forehead is like a billboard. HD is not doing her any favors.

If UCONN loses this game they should fold the Big East.

He really is an amazing college player. He just keeps bringing it every game.

There was 25 seconds left on the shot clock when he let that one go.

I think Jimmer might be the toughest projection to the next level ever. He could be Adam Morrison or he could be a superstar.

I obviously haven't seen him in the draft workouts, but right now I think I'd rather have him over Sullinger who will struggle just as much against bigger and higher jumping defenders.

How tall is Jimmer? He's got handles and can shoot. Probably would need to be a point
if he is short.

He's like 6'2. He would have to be a better version of Ben Gordon. I don't think he can play the point. There are too many pg's that would dominate him.

I see him being a really good 6th man for a team, a guy who can come in and provide some instant offense for a few stretches during the game and who will hit some big shots at the end of a game.

I think he's more complete than Steph Curry, and I really like Steph Curry coming out of college.

In a weak draft class I think he's a good bet. He'll at worst be a good contributor and at best he'll be an all star type player.

NBADraft.net has him compared to Mark Price/Eddie House  What? Mark Price was a damn good player for a long time. Eddie House...yeah not even close to Price.

But here is their write up on Fredette. They have him going 10th in the first round.

Quote:
Strengths: A prolific scorer who has developing point guard skills ... Has tremendous shooting ability. It's the aspect of his game that will undeniably get him serious looks from the NBA level ... An extremely effective player who understands shot selection and taking what the defense gives him ... Has a solid first step and the ability to blow by defenders and get into the paint ... Shows very good vision and passing ability, particularly driving and dishing the ball ... Very patient passer, never rushes his decisions allowing openings to materialize ... Has great speed and quickness for a mid-major player ... Has a strong frame with excellent strength that he puts to good use as he's not afraid of contact ... Very tough both mentally and physically. A competitor who will battle tooth and nail and wants the big shots at the end of games ... Has great accuracy shooting the ball and range. He is highly proficient at creating shots for himself, with a very quick release and use of change of direction ... Equally effective at isolating on opponents and spotting up for shots ... Has a quick release: He takes very little time to get the ball under his elbow and away, and squares to the basket in rhythm in a blink of an eye ... Has good finishing ability with touch while on the move ... Offensively there are few holes to his game ... An extremely hard worker. His conditioning sets him apart from the competition and allows him to shoot the ball incredibly well at the end of games ...

Weaknesses: Fredette lacks the athleticism of the average NBA point guard. However, being such a tremendous shooter helps offset some of his athletic shortcomings, in terms of making it in the league ... Not a natural point guard but is developing his skills. He came into college as a shooting guard but has steadily developed his point guard abilities and decision making ... His ball handling ability is efficient but lacks flash ... Lacks the athleticism to finish at the rim but is creative at finding ways to score on drives using floaters ... His speed is very good at the college level, but there are question marks about his ability to do the same things against NBA level athletes ... Will his lateral foot speed be a liability? Will he be able to create shots for himself against longer and more athletic opponents?

I said it when these seedings came out and I'll say it again, a few conference losses aren't that big of a deal - regardless of conference strength. Those teams know you better than anyone. Butler as an 8 seed is a joke, even if they lose tonight.

Pretty accurate. He strikes me as the next Stephon Curry.

I think he'll be better. I really liked Curry out of college too.

What a first half by butler. Great defense. They aeem to be making the most out of their possessions unlike wisconsin. Beating them at their game. Plenty of time though.

Their OOC wasn't very strong, either. I thought an eight was a little generous, though an 8 and a 9 are basically the same thing. Obviously they've played better than that in the tournament, and Florida State is better than was known, but the rest of the OOC was pretty mediocre and the Horizon is down this year. Frankly, if they weren't "Butler," they'd have probably been in the double digits.

So you are thinking 20/6/4 because Curry is a 18/5/3 guy now.

Ok ib. I'll just agree to disagree with you. It doesn't always have to come down to computer bullshit and stats. Doesn't matter at this point. Let's keep in mind this team played in the national championship last year and then came back to playing in the horizon. Might have been tough to take the reg season seriously. Regardless, butler beat another 1 seed and is in the sweet sixteen. I have them in my final four. That might be a bit much. We'll see.

But yea, I thought I read a reference to computer stats. My bad, just opponents.

I had Texas beating Duke; I think I should get a point in my bracket.

Also, while the horse is still twitching from rigor mortis: the Pac-10 teams are great examples of schools that were significantly underseeded because of Big! East! Pandemonium!!!!!!

Gene Keady went to two Elite Eights in 25 years. Indiana's second-to-last Elite Eight was in 1992. Brad Stevens has gone to two in four years. At Butler.

Damn I hate seeing Butler. Team sucks to watch. Nothing like watching slow, grindy, white boys try to ball. Duke was awful. Coach K should have never brought back Irving for the Tourney.
