Um. No. He's still dangerous at the end of games. Because he's taken a bulk amount of shots, I'm not gonna hate. If you guys want Kobe taking the game winning shot against the Bulls in June go right ahead.

Ok Smart guy. You frame the argument, and I can't have any rebuttal that satisfies you. I'm good. I dealt with your type in college. You didn't last long.

Here you go, from the sidebar in that same fucking article

Carmelo Anthony
Game winning shots
21-44
47.7%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IDC who you have on your team. Melo is getting the ball at the end of games.

right and you claimed Kobe was even better, moron

glad to know you went to college, feel free to drop any other bits of information that you feel might impress? like how you watch every TNT game, even when they were on Tuesdays AND Thursdays?

Oh boy. How you've survived with such a low self worth is beyond. I can sense your fear from here.

You do know the NBA used to be on twice a week on the Turner networks right?

So this is what you and spmack do on a consistent basis in your social dealings with people? Like I've said, I've seen the type before. I'm sure it happens every time you meet someone new. You have to put them through the fire before you feel comfortable socializing with them. it's sad, and the only people I've known who outwardly do this are traumatically insecure people. It's a sign you don't totally feel comfortable in your own skin. So everyone else must feel that way to. I'm not even charging you for this diagnosis.

BTW, my NBA thoughts are mainly for people like KS and Hova. They can actually engage others in mature discussion without feeling the need to insult out of insecurity.

So in conclusion, anyone who would still want Luol Deng over Carmelo hasn't watched any meaningful western conference basketball the last 7 years. It is ok to admit a fault. Kobe isn't nearly as efficient at the end of games as we've been led to believe, but Carmelo is at this point in his career statistically the best EVER in game winning situations.
For those of you who tried to bring some brevity and well thought out opinion thank you.

That Mr. Big Shot thing is a friggin joke.

Good points Phil. My counter would be that D Rose showed up 2 and a half years ago, and Luol has never been trusted with the ball in his hands at the end of games.

Luol has improved as a player in the 2+ years since Rose showed up though. Plus he can hit 3's now!

I agree with you. It's just Carmelo could always shoot 3's. And he was a 20ppg scorer from his rookie year.

Your avatar is so cringeworthy, but I see and appreciate the humor.

KS at least likes to present his opinions in a calm, lighthearted tone. That is enough for me.

Anyone can be a 20ppg scorer in the NBA...if you shoot the ball whenever the shit you want.

In Denver...Carmelo wants to shoot it 25 times? 30 times? Go right ahead. There's your almost 30 points per game. So what if he went 9-25 for the night, and Nene couldn't rebound any of those misses.

Carmelo would not be able to shoot 25 times in Chicago, therefore Carmelo would not score 30ppg...or even 25ppg, in Chicago.

The 2 seasons Carmelo averaged 28ppg were the only seasons he averaged more than 20+shots per game:

2006-07
FG/game: 22.4
PPG: 28.9

2009-10
FG/Game: 21.8
PPG: 28.2

He is probably the most efficient scorer in the game. He has a post game, unlimited range, and no one can consistently guard him. Averaging 20ppg in the NBA is one of the harder things to do in professional sports. Currently only 18 players in the world (NBA) achieve this feat. Averaging 25+ppg is rare air. Carmelo averages 24.8 for his career.

Not trying to be a total dick, but next argument please.

I don't get where this 25 shots/game came from. That's Iverson in his prime, MJeff towards the end, or Kobe when he decided to avg. 35ppg for an entire season.

Carmelo is scarily efficient. He is a serious phenomenon. Averaging 20 and 10 his freshman year in college was enough for me to realize just how good he could be.

I love how people want to kick the Knicks while they are down. They have no continuity. No roster outside of Amare and Melo (Chauncey exists solely on rep nowadays). They will be more than solid next year if they have a decent off season.

If you are more versatile the chances of you being more efficient are very likely
