Making money off your dead kid is a turn off for me

This was brought to light by my band Severed Scrotum with our hit song "Eric Clapton Pushed his Kid". Here are the lyrics I remember...

Hey little boy
You broke your little toy
Daddy got mad and he pushed you out a window

Wrote a hit song
Is that so wrong
We'd do it to to be as rich as you

Would you look the same if I saw you in heaven
Probably not, now you look like bloody snot

********************

I forgot the rest, but chorus was...

Pick him up, throw him again!
Pick him up, throw him again!
Pick him up, throw him again!
Clapton you fucking jerk off

Eric Clapton is not overrated, Mac. The stuff Clapton did with the Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos and the solo stuff he did between 1970 and 1989 absolutely rocks! Listening to a lot of classic rock over the years, Clapton and his guitar were really, really good...

Clapton, Page, Beck? They are all brilliant guitarists, but they form the line behind Jimi Hendrix. <Les> Period. Paragraph. <Les>

I believe it was the "bloody snot" line in particular that did it for me.

I like Clapton, maybe a bit overrated.

I'll tell you this though. I completely and utterly HATE that song "She's Waiting". Makes me want to jump off a bridge while sawing off my pecker and tearing my face apart!!! It also makes me want to destroy things. Any time this song gets air play means that the terrorists have won! :x :x :x :x :x :x

Clapton only licensed his music for Power Gig which was the shittiest shit of the music gaming genre. Fuck him for preventing Rock Band for getting his songs so I can't play them on easy Pro Guitar. That goes for the other 2 Power Gig exclusives, DMB and Kid Rock. Ha, fuck ever playing Kid Rock, DMB maybe I guess.

Yeah, that's fine, nothing wrong with that.

But don't you dare say the word "retard". Mac thinks that's mean.

Two albums that just kick ass. J.Geils Band Full House. 1972 in Detroit on New years eve. Maybe the best live album ever. Also John Mayall The Turning Point from 1968. No drums just finger style guitar and harmonica and John Mayall blues. Excellent.

I also don't care for the "R" word -- but I also know it's rather insensitive and quite mean-spirited to playfully chide someone about their child's tragic death.

In a Beatles hidden track you hear the conversation:
Harrison: "Eric, are you the bastard that has been poking my wife"
Clapton: "Yes, doinking her every chance I get"
Harrison: "Oh. Ok. You want to play on our album?"
Clapton: "sure, right after I right a song about banging her"

Overrated? Could be, depending on your perception of how he is rated.

Forget all the cheesy crap... I'd personally like to forget that Phil Collins produced one of his albums.

But listen to the Layla outtake jams (available on the 20th anniversary edition)... or to "Rita Mae"... or to his version of "Eyesight to the Blind"... the guy kicked some serious arse.
