I like Silvy, but he doesn't strike me as the kind of person who has thoughts about things other than sports or celebrity gossip.

It doesn't sound like Waddle will be doing commercials for P90X anytime soon.

Let's not mistake the fact I like Silvy, just giving him some shit, for going live opening day broadcast, then maybe going to the game? (Hope he did) then going home, suiting up and doing Chicago Tonight to talk mostly politics.

Might be because Joel Weisman is or was an agent to a large number of local media guys in Chicago. Yeah, that guy is or was a power broker in the Chicago media world. I could easily see him being Silvys agent? Thus when the man calls, people answer...I guess.

Joel Weisman is an agent, and represents many of the biggest names in Chicago media. It may seem very unusual for Silvy to be on a panel with hard news guys, but when you appear on a show such as "Chicago Tonight: The Week in Review", chances are pretty good that you'll be asked to comment about things that you may not necessarily have an opinion about. Also, I've got to think Weisman's producers were in touch with ESPN Radio 1000 to have Silvy appear on that show you're referring...

Weisman always has sports guys on. It's not uncommon, Even seen Loho on explaining to me Quinn's political issues.
