Starting out 2-6. Ryan Franklin has blown 3 saves so far. Pujols hitting about .150.

Fans around here are ready to jump off bridges. It is great. I hope it continues all throughout the year.

Meh...I could see if they've been getting pounded but they've let some wins get away...anyone getting worked up over it this early is a moron and deserves to be miserable...

Great to see Carpenter give up 8 ER in 4 innings and sport an ERA close to 6. If he has a sub-par year, I don't think the Cardinals can compete.

They are 40-33 right now and tied for the lead in the division. Will be interesting to see where they are at when he returns.

I saw the video of that play in which the Cardinals' Skip Schumaker tried to throw out the Royals' Wilson Betemit and Wilson seemed to knock the ball and glove out of Albert Pujols' hand. It was not for the squeamish, and I'm a little skeptical that he'll be out only 4-6 weeks.

There are reports that Roidface may be back as early as tonight. He would miss only 16 days for a broken wrist and would return a month ahead of schedule. This guys on some serious shit to recover that fast.

I was just talking to a co-worker about this right here. No way he is not on something to be able to return this quickly. Yet still so many down here in Cardinal Country are convinced he is clean.

Their play-by-play guy gets his second DUI in just over a year. Not big news, but his mugshots are terrific.

Tempted to use as avatar. Will keep in back pocket. Nothing funny about a DUI, but those pics are classic. I can't decide which one is better.
