Wait until March. Then get nervous.

I think he is percieved now both locally and nationally as a putts now. I beleive they can keep him under contract and not have him on between 9-12AM. Ive said before give him his own show at 2:00 AM. He can either quit or work it.

Let me be the first to say: I'm not in the feel good business.

But it is clear that Sean is spread WAY too thin, and ESPN1000 gets the short end of the stick.

If they didn't put language in his contract that he had to be in the studio a certain percentage of the time, then shame on them.

He is ill-prepared, unprofessional and often appears on the air like he's just rolling in, with no planning prior to the show.

Point in case: The Auto Show appearance. He should have been there at 8AM, and left his hotel at 7:30. Then if he was running late, he still would have made it in time.

I've given Sean and Rosey enough of a chance. He assured us that he'd know more about the Bears than the Bears beat reporters. Bullshit Seany Cakes. You couldn't hold their jocks - individually.

It really is the Steve Rosembloom show. Steve will pretty talk an entire segment, with Sean occassionally saying "yeah" or "ok." Only time Sean talks is if he obviously disagrees with Steve about something, if Steve asks him something, or if a caller directly speaks to Sean.

That is what annoys me. Since he was an athlete (ha athlete) up until recently, he thinks being too busy is an excuse for poor performance. In teh real world your employer only cares about your performance for that particular job and could give a rats a$$ about what else occupies your time.

I bet he'd like to, though. ;)

I imagine he's just digging his heels in as a negotiating ploy - he doesn't want to be here, and no one here wants him.

Did anyone hear on MJH yesterday them talking about a NCAA tourny contest that S&R is having? if that is the case, sounds like the show has at least another month and a half.

That Brian who pissed off Mike North is right. Maybe we should stop complaining to the station about how bad S & R are, but instead complain to the advertisers. I could send them emails and give this website........but that sounds like a lot of work so nevermind.

Or take it to the masses:

Rob Feder: feder@suntimes.com

Ted Cox: tcox@dailyherald.com

Teddy Greenstein: tgreenstein@tribune.com

Part of being a sportsradio host is polarizing your audience. Get people that passionately agree with you, or think your the biggest knob around. It's no different than what Jay Mariotti does, or Skip Bayless did. The problem arises when EVERYBODY thinks your the biggest knob around, and you do absolutely nothing to sway their opinions. After all, Sean's not in the 'feel good' business. Or 'good listen' business I may add.

I think Sean is going to play the game to keep his AM1000 gig (or get paid every penny to be "excused"). Did anyone notice him casually mentioning the other day that "he's lived in Chicago for the past year?" I'm paraphrasing a little bit, but he said while discussing Hendry's recent comments about owing Cubs fans a winning team.
