So there you are, sitting in a work meeting with a bunch of big-wigs around a conference table discussing the “next big thing” for your company. Everyone is stressed, everyone is confused, and everyone is complaining about it. Then, all of a sudden, one of the big wigs asks a question of the group, to which one of your coworkers replies with what can only be described as a finally voicing something that has festering on their mind for YEARS. It is vivid, lush, condescending, and wonderful all rolled into one moment of verbal expression.

But then, there is a pause in the room.

Almost like a moment of “waiting”. Is this person going to get fired right here and now? Did this person just make a huge mistake? Everything is incredibly awkward and silent at the same exact moment.

I hate that pause. I hate it so much.

I've had an iPad since the first month they came out, and I'll tell you, it's wonderful. I can go on a plane for 10 hours and have all of my videos on this thing, along with some games. The battery life is 9 hours or more. On wifi-enabled planes, the iPad is charged the same as a phone, and not the more-expensive laptop rate. The bluetooth-enabled keyboard/case combo (from Brookstone) works really well, and allows me to handle my e-mails quickly.

I also have a Kindle DX. That's a great reader, but I'm not going to work on the web using it. Also, the mp3 player is a little strange on the Kindle. You can't beat the iPad's storage, screen, size, and ease of use.

Today I'm hating on my dog. Yeah, the one I got from Slapshot Ed. He's a sonofabitch; the dog, not Ed.

Over the past few months he has started pissing everyone in the damn house. He ruined the carpet in the living room and dining room, so we tore that out and put in hardwood. Did that stop him? No. Now he just pisses on the hardwood.

We've tried different "pet repellant" soaps and cleaners to no avail. My dog hates me.

Take him outside.
