I'm not sure I like moving Dunn out of the 3-hole and I know I don't like Teahen playing 3rd base.

Keyser, I really made a big stink about Mark Teahen at third base when he airmailed a couple of throws late last season in Detroit when the White Sox were fading like a old pair of Levi's.

Based on what I've seen from Teahen, he is better suited to play on the right side of the field instead of the left. If I were Ozzie, I'd play Teahen at second base to give Gordon Beckham an occasional breather, at first base when Paul Konerko is this team's designated hitter instead of having Adam "The Strikeout Machine" Dunn butchering balls there or in right field to give Carlos Quentin a break from the lineup. I even posted my feelings on my FB page, and SCORE Producer Herb Lawrence told me there to let Ozzie manage. Teahen at third base makes me cringe!

As for why Teahen's in tonight's lineup, Brent Morel's not exactly hitting either. Morel's BA is down to just .220 and Ozzie wants to get Teahen ample opportunities to swing the bat. It's believed that Morel will be back in the lineup either tomorrow night in St. Petersburg, FL in the finale of this series or in Detroit Friday when the White Sox start a weekend series vs. the Tigers.

This is just a question.....watching baseball since I was 5 and am now 58,if a hitting coach doesn't have anything to do with the way a guy hits why have one. They don't get blamed when the teams in a slump, nor get credit when they are hitting. On baseball teams are hitting coaches like Vice Presidents...good for nothing?

Horrible managing.

They look broken. It's more than a trend at this point.

How are the Sox expected to win when the greatest defensive team in history is your opponent?

This has bee really really ugly, but Tampa really has thrown the leather this series  I know Hawk usually exaggerates everything, but the Rays really had some great defense the last 2 games.

This stretch has been 2007 ugly :(

Hope everyone is enjoying Dave Kingman, er, Rob Deer, er, Adam Dunn specialize in "Big Ball". Contact is overrated. just swing for the fences--at the end of the year you will have lots o taters, lots of Ks and lots of dough. Just not lots o wins.

Only if you take Soriano too. But you can't give him back next year.

Soon to be followed by pitchers throwing nuttin but trash and strikeouts a plenty. He has habit of going in the deep ditch when he sees no heat.

Lose tomorrow and they match the longest losing streak of last year.

Bullpen looks much better, starting pitching solid, this offense will break out of this funk. Its frustrating but this will not last.

Twins are dead last in Runs, Cleveland 2nd, Sox in 8th

Will not lose tomorrow. Look for big offensive explosion. Pitching staff is trying to throw shutouts. Bats come alive in the next several games. Will win 2 games next series. Come in off the ledge.

Baseball is not a sprint, it's a marathon...Not only are they words to live by, but I'll be interested to see what tonight's White Sox lineup looks like come 2p or so when it's posted on chicagobreakingsports.com. I've got to think that another flipflop could be in the cards with Gordon Beckham moving down from #2 to possibly #7 or #8 and Alexei Ramirez replacing Beckham in the #2 spot behind Juan Pierre. Even though Beckham does have a homer off tonight's Tampa starter in Jeff Niemann, there may also be a Omar Vizquel sighting in tonight's lineup as well to give G.B. a breather.

Speaking of the White Sox lineup, Ozzie has decided to rest Gordon Beckham rather than move him down like Adam Dunn and up like Carlos Quentin for the finale of four vs. the Rays. These are the guys who hope to end their 7-game losing streak in St. Petersburg vs. Jeff Niemann:

1 Juan "When Will He Rest?" Pierre LF
11 Omar "#7's Available, Old Man" Vizquel 2B
20 Carlos "A Home Run? Mercy!" Quentin RF
14 Paul "An Even .300 BA" Konerko 1B
32 Adam "A Double, A Walk and Another Strikeout" Dunn DH
51 Alex "Bad Toe, Bad Batting Average" Rios CF
12 A.J. "Was It Something I Said?" Pierzynski C
10 Alexei "Ozzie, Move Me Up Tomorrow!" Ramirez SS
23 Mark "Brent Morel's my Third Baseman? Yeah Right!" Teahen 3B

Gavin "I'm Still Wondering Who's Tyler Chatwood..." Floyd tries to stop the bleeding in the finale of four vs. the Rays. Brent ".220 BA" Morel is tentatively scheduled to return tomorrow when the White Sox start a weekend series vs. the Tigers' Justin Verlander in Detroit. Will Gordon Beckham be moved down in the lineup or in this game later tonight? Stay tuned...

I don't care...#11 is supposed to be retired, SJ, and Omar knows it. Why couldn't he flip his number from #13 all those years in Cleveland, San Francisco & Texas to #31 when he got here? That's what Alex Rios did when he flipped the #15 he wore in Toronto to #51 here when Gordon Beckham arrived.

As for Vizquel, if the White Sox continue to stink up the ballpark, he will be available come July to help a contending team. Ditto for Carlos Quentin.

It's not on 665 or 666?
It was the game of the week on MLB TV, check that. (I was blacked out by uverse since I got it on Comcast Sports Net 2 which I think used to be 666 on Direct tv)
