When I made my brillant prediction last year that the Sox were in it and the went 21-6 or something like that.I looked at the schedule and they had the Cubs,Pirates,Nats,Braves and Cubbies again. This year they don't have that easy of a NL schedule D'backs, and Rockies. So this years piss poor start is really going to hurt the Sox :(

i have not looked at the schedule..i know my friend got us dodgers/sox tickets..the white sox are going to kick the crap out of every team in the nl they play... the sox will get fat off the interleague schedule just like last year.

Then fall short of the playoffs, just like 2010.

Well, another big difference is that last year the Twins were quite formidable (that is, until the calendar hits October.... then they go away pretty quickly) and this year they're not. Have you seen the lineup they're trotting out there without the M&M boys? There's been some sort of a superflu going through the clubhouse and I heard that Justin Morneau had 5 IVs this week. Yeeeeeeee.

I think that Cleveland is going to come back to Earth somewhat... I mean, their lineup is young and hungry and coming together at a nice time (and Carlos Santana, their best all-around hitter, hasn't even started mashing yet) but I'm not 100% sold on their pitching... Fausto Carmoma is jekyll and hyde, and really it's going to come down to whether Justin Masterson and Josh Tomlin can pitch like they've been pitching all year long (probably not.) This is why I picked Le Tigre to win the division, but I'm not too sure of that either.

So basically, I see most of these teams hovering around .500, and I reckon 90 wins could win this division. I want to see this offense get rolling once the weather gets nice (keep in mind that the White Sox swooned during some shit weather against the A's and Angels, who simply have better pitchers than the White Sox) but I think that this year the Central is really up for grabs, cuz the Twins aren't going to the bully on the block when it's all said and done.

Keep in mind I am cognizant that the Twins have looked DOA in April only to start pulling it together in May and win the Division by September... I just think that Morneau is too woozy and Mauer is too ouchy and the rest of the team is too crappy. The Twins' pitching rotation sucks.... Brian Duensing might be their staff ace.

The difference is that the '11 Sox get hot, stay hot, and ride that hot streak throughout October 8) 8)

Its April the Sox will be fine. Ball will start exploding when it gets warm. Starting pitching has been more than good enough for the most part and the bullpen is mended.

Perhaps when the weather warms up, the Sox will remember defense is part of baseball.

This season is like deja vu all over again. The one good thing is it doesn't look like the Twins will be winning 94 games again so it won't take a crazy month to get back in the race. That said the sooner they want to start winning some games is fine by me.
