I'm proud to announce our first hockey group outing! Let's get an idea on how many people are interested and then I'll book us some ice time. You'll need basic equipment....skates, elbow, knee, shoulder pads. Pants, helmut, gloves and stick. I'll make sure we have 2 goalies assuming no one here plays goalie. The goal is to get 20 people which should put the cost right around $20 per guy. I assume everyone here plays. And the game will be no check however if anyone agrees in advance to checking those players will be allowed to knock each other into submission. Fighting will of course be allowed.

Ok, lets get a roll call going!

Definitely in.

Have some extra equipment I'd be able to lend out as well

There's definitely going to be some "outing" at this hockey event.

This event will never take place. Shakes is just trying to show that there aren't 20 hockey tough guys on the board.

A very long time ago, when I was in high school, we played floor hockey in gym. Since it was so so long ago it is hard to remember much about it, but I think it was fun...ish.

You Seniors sure don't remember much about Freshman year, do you?

Tragic

Sorry. I make it a point to only play check hockey against losers who have had fewer than 4 back surgeries. Looks like you just missed the cut, shakesie.

Who is bringing the water for this?

So you'll need to get several floor hockey training sessions in before you'll attend?

I once played in a league at Clemente. Our team was from Eckhart Park, It was all little Puerto Rican guys and me. I was easily the biggest guy on the team and I'm not really that big. I got stuck trying to shove 6'4" guys from Palatine and Barrington out from in front of our net. I spent a lot of time in the penalty box.

You failed to mention that one of your teammates is currently the US ambassador to Zimbabwe and another was Wayne Gretzky.

That's because they weren't.

Despite what you fuckers might think about the possibility of a hockey board member outing happening I am here to inform you that there has actually been a successful hockey outing that has already happened a couple times in the past month. Yesterday at Johnny's Ice House (as well as a few other times this month) roughly 50% of the hockey playing population of this message board met up for some quality rat hockey. That 50% consists of myself and Stinkfinger. We both belong to a rat hockey website and its members have a private rat hockey session every Wednesday at 6pm. It took us a little while to figure out that we were both members of this site as well. Actually, Stink figured it out with some quality facebook stalking.

So for those of you fuckers who said it couldn't happen I give you this.....
