Hey, it took me awhile to figure that one out- "NAZ"

And I can't actually believe after Mike denounced message boards as bad things, Annie chimes in with "yeah its the mob mentality". Huh? When's the last time she ever had an original thought of her own?

Thinking about it, how does Annie know that Nas posts here?

She said "he's on those boards too" - paraphrasing for legal purposes.

You're either being sarcastic or you come here just to hang out on the lame board.

So, I was only half paying attention, what exactly did Nas do to earn his "rat" status? Did he write letters too?

Mike said Nas also sent it to Aggase and then called Nas a rat.

Is this really where the Great Mike North has come down to these days. To rip on some people who appreciate good sports talk radio that happen to discuus the good and the bad and sports in general? Is this really where one of The Score's Original guys has dropped himself down to these days. How did it go so wrong for a guy who was so freash, new, and original some 10-15 years ago. Mike, you should be embarrassed by the way you act.

The problem is not that North has lost his edge. North's career curve would be a straight line. The problem is that sports talk radio has become such a huge industry and it filled up with much better hosts and by comparison, North's true colors show.

OK, to against grain a little here. As I was listening to North with Haugh this morning, they started to get into it and Haugh was holding his ground.

It was pretty good stuff and showed that North could still be relevant, I think, if paired with someone who would challenge him and stick to sports.

I didn't agree with some of North's points and I thought Haugh nailed him pretty good with North going back and forth on it being Rivera's D when it is bad and Lovie's when it is good, but it was an entertaining exchange.

Now, back to the North bashing...

Isn't that what we all agreed upon months ago, when he did his try out with reducing Annie's role? When ratings came out, I thought the common belief here is that is why he made it a race with Mike and Mike, instead of getting smoked like he usually does.

Funny how he'll probably get launched now that he sucks.

But, my old girlfriend didn't get launched until she stopped sucking.

When I started listening to the Score, he was with Jiggs. I could tolerate him then.

Same thing yesterday with Mullins. He was disagreeing with Mike and actually made North state his reasons for what he felt. Rather intriguing for someone to stop North in the middle of "am I right, or can I call 'em" rant. North was getting really agitated that he wasn't being listened to non-critically. He also was trying to tie in the Rivera/Bears/Lovie non respect thing to his own problems with management. This was yesterday before Rivera had been shown the door. And so of course today he couldn't stop congratulating himself for seeing something no one else could. Unfortunately this morning only Fred and Anne were they to stop him, and they just let him go.

The SCORE without North at this point in time would be a horrible place. There is an absolute void in talent. One show (b and b) could not hold up the entire station.

Doctor, I think everyone noticed the difference in the quality of the show when drinky sat in with Mike last August. We heard it again when Anne was put in her cage for a couple of weeks. Even North acknowleged the problem in the interview he had with the Sun Times in which he blamed increased non sports discussion on management. Mike can still do this job very well. That is why it was so disappointing when Anne came back.

It's frustrating because the changes are so minor and well within everyone's grasp...move out Steve and Edie (from the old SNL skit The Sinatra Group: "that's right Frank"), put in Drinky, Goff, Haugh etc. (drinky was absolutely perfect for that position). Very, very simple.

I would probably go a step farther and lose Jiggles in place of Jesse Rogers.

Coach, I fully believe a show centered around north can be a top notch morning show. The money is there to hire the best talent. This is just a case of mismanagement.

In fact, I think it would work wonders for Mike to hire a comedic writer (one not named Harry or Spike) to work on bits in between sports talk. Shakey was great in that type of roll. Mike likes Les as well. Let's go all in and have Les do updates.

I think all of this could be done with the money currently alloted to Steve, Edie and Jiggles.

I agree GD. I thought it was very good with Drinky and even keeping Fred at the time. Don't remember if I was still lurking back then or if I posted it. I, too, was very disappointed when Annie came back.

I just wanted to point it out. I fear Mike is starting to alienate too many people at this point to bring it back. I used to shrug off his occassional "misquotes". But, the last few have me increasingly incensed for my own reasons and less willing to see him try to "make a go of it" with a new combination.

If the paired him with someone who had I spine, I would give the show a chance.

I did listen when he was with Jiggs and when he was with Buffone. It wasn't great radio, but it was listenable. I do not think it is impossible for North to be part of a good show, I just don't think he can do a good show by himself.

I don't know about any of you guys, but I despise Fred because he is such a North ass licker that its ridiculous...I've been saying that I was going to do this for a while now, but one of these days I'm going to do a Fred-o-meter, which is going to gauge the amount of times that Fred says "Yes", "yeah", or "you're right" to whatever North says in one 4 hr show....I've got him down for at least 25-50 times in one show.

He was the same way with Murph. That show was supposed to be equal billing with one guy being a Sox fan and one being a Cub fan. It turned into the Murph show with full Cub talk every day.

I cannot say that I despise Steve for it though. He has ascended to the highest position he will ever get. He understands this. He now keeps his head down and hopes nobody will notice him until he reaches 65.

Too bad I've sworn off listening to the show; I'd help you count.
