My point is he may just be an average .250 hitting (which is what he finished with last), plus defender 2nd baseman. He isn't a AAA player, he is ready for the major leagues. They probably moved him up too quickly, but I really do not see what sending him down would do. My definition of "bust" is someone who cannot play in the majors, like Brian Anderson or Josh Fields, Beckham is not that. It is only his third year.

Yes it sucks that he is slumping, and its really hurting the club, but its not just his fault obviously.

Besides the half-year he was called up he has been a huge disappointment, one could call this year and the last year a long slump or at the very least a long sub-par baseball existence. I like the the guy, love his hair and think he is pretty cool but so far he has been a huge letdown. This was a guy that was having his picture taken with Jeter and all that, received a lot of hype and hasn't lived up to it.

Maybe 'bust' was too harsh a word but he is quickly approaching it. If he bats below .250 this year than he will be a bust or close to it.
