Well done, sir.

Im done. In my early 30's now, I only have enough mental fortitude to follow one professional sport at a time, and with the Bulls, I'm just about on empty. Maybe I will get back into it later in the year, but at this point I have no reason why that would be.

One of the weakest No-Hitters I have seen. Only 2 strikeouts and 6 walks tell you his stuff wasn't good. I'm guessing Kenny is ready to ax someone soon/

Probably the weakest since Edwin Jackson's last year.

Did Hawk bitch about the strike zone?

Hawk was home dead. Stoney and Mike Huff on the call.

At least the Rays were a good team, one of the top records and offenses in all the AL.

That was pretty pathetic, Liriano hasn't been good in a while and it had all the trappings of da' Sox just giving up and chasing everything all over the place. This may very well be a small piece of a bigger trigger that is attached to a big gun that us in Ozzie's mouth.

Not good for the Sox, Jerry can't be pleased at yet another period of listless, souless, fire and passionless baseball. I have a feeling Ozzie is going to yell but no one is going to listen.

Whatever currency Ozzie created from the 2005 WS is gone. Ozzie should be fired by the end of May or at least not be hired past this season. He and his son are an embarassment to the organization and the players have tuned Oz out. KW should also be put on notice and directed to be a "seller" only at the trade deadline.

This thought of "when the weather heats up the Sox will hit" is lame. Will the sun help AJ's rag arm? Will it help Paulie get faster, Quentin stop being so mental, Floyd get his head out of his ass, Danks get out of the first inning, etc, etc? The answer is NO. And a winning streak against the NL does not constitute a good team.

This current team needs to be disassembled, the good pieces kept, and the worn out pieces discarded or traded to the A's. The farm system needs to be restocked and patterned after the Twins where fundamentals are beaten into the kids heads. I think most Sox fans would be more accepting of a team rebuilding than a team that is throwing shit at the wall hoping to make something stick.

By the way, Rongey is an asshole who just parrots Bernstein's disdain for those not as intelligent or articulate as he is. If you are taking callers, than be prepared to get good and bad ones and at least act like a decent human being.

This is one of those things that is real easy to say looking at it from the outside. But I think it is being real unfair to Rongey. Put yourself in his shoes and having to deal with those callers almost daily and that is going to test just about anyone. I think he does a good job with what he is asked to do.

RFDC - I understand what you are saying, but it takes no effort to be a jag-off to people. I'm sure Rongey has a call-screener to let through "good" callers and dump the "bad" ones. If the screener is not doing his job, get one that does. I can imagine being the post guy for this shit-sack team would be very difficult at this time, but taking a caller's point and proving or disaproving it with reason and insight would be more entertaining than the, "poking the moron with a stick" type radio.

By the way, thanks for not calling me a screaming retard! :P

I don't know if WGN has a similar Cubs postgame. I'm guessing they probably do. Or at least they have a show that takes Cubs calls. But I'm sure there isn't all the stupidity that you have with the Rongey show. Does anyone really think that's because the Cub fan is more intelligent? Of course not. It's because they're not trying to do an idiot show. So my advice is, if you're going to do an idiot show, stop fucking whining about it. If you don't want to do an idiot show, it's really simple. When Jocko from Hometown calls and says he wants to discuss why Lillibridge isn't starting in center everyday, you just don't put him on the air. Problem solved.

Its because Memelo fulfills the stupid quotient for WGN all by himself.

The problem is that the fairweather Cub fans are much much worse than the fairweather Sox fans.

My response to both of these quotes is: Elmhurst Steve

WGN postgame is basically the assorted parkridgestephs of Chicagoland calling to say they still remember the Sandberg game.

Well said. At some point the whole thing should be an embarrassment to the station. Well past that point in my mind.

I have to give it to Rongey today. He didn't really big time the callers and he acknowledged that this shit is tough to watch and there isn't much good to say. He did dismiss a caller who suggested leading off Rios. And even though that's not something Guillen is likely to do, Rios would be far better leading off the nine hole hitter Pierre. It's certainly not an idea that deserves scorn or mockery. Hell, li'l danny b suggested bringing up Viciedo today. I believe that was ridiculed by Rongey not long ago. Finally, he kept repeating that changing the manager won't do anything. Maybe. Maybe not. But what it definitely won't do is make them any worse.
