Duquesne -1.5 &
over 162
Richmond ranks 324th in rebounding margin (minus-10.3), 307th in scoring (59.6 ppg), and 299th in field-goal percentage defense (47.2). The Spiders have also lost 27 of their last 34 games. Duquesne on the other hand has averaged almost 100 points over their last seven, and should have no trouble running over a team that regularly plays five freshmen.

Don't know about the OVER, but you've got figure that Duquense will definetly cover the spread here. Only 1.5 points --- that's crazy.

Syracuse -2.5
S. Florida is not deep or tall enough to hang with Syracuse, who usually turns it on at the end of the season. They are a poor shooting team that will have problems with the zone.

Clevelend is 2-12 on the ass end of back to back road games. They usually get smoked. Lakers have also lost 4 straight, so tonight is the night for a bounce back.

Winthrop +5-1/2
Winthrop has only lost 4 games this year (North Carolina, Texas A&M, Maryland, & Wisconsin). Missouri St is a tough team, but they just came off a tough loss to SIU, and might be looking ahead to Wichita St. I might even buy the half point, and take the 6.

Albany +10
Albany almost knocked out UConn in the first round last year. Boise St is solid at home, but 10 points is too many to give to Albany, who is 95 in the RPI.

That SIU-Butler game should be the best Bracketbuster game, but I see Butler pulling iut ou and covering.

I spit the bit yesterday, but 13-10 in college hoops for the week will work.

ok...full disclosure here...I have not watched a college hoops game, nor have I seen a score in over a week. College hoops weren't on the nightly tube in the Alps. Thus, I have no feel for what teams are doing. But the Illinois-Northwestern total of 107 is historically low for this matchup. I understand the number, with the way the Illini play D and the very slow pace and poor road shooting of the Cats. Illini might get up big and coast 2nd half, but first half should be reasonably competitive and game dynamics should not be affected by a rout in progress. Illini dominance on the boards might lead to a few breakouts. And we do get the Illini at home, where they shoot better and play with more confidence. Maybe I'm a sucker, but over 49 first half seems to be a good play.

DePaul +7, -120 @ ND
As inconsistent as DePaul has been, they are still a pretty efficient offensive team overall at 48th in the nation at 1.126 points per possession. And they are a better defensive (efficiency) team than ND. And I like the way their slashers/athletes like Mejia and Clark can create points (though I prefer ND's outside shooters). And even the big guy is starting to make a bit of an impact at times. And this DP team of much the same players has confidence playing ND..they've hung inside this number (beaten them 2 of the last three) in each of the last three seasons. The last time DP lost to ND by a greater margin than this was when Mejia was a frosh (03-04 season). Think they hang again...

How about the end of the Kentucky game? Kentucky -8 1/2 and they are winning by 9 with 0.9 seconds left. LSU inbounds the ball and scores on an uncontested layup............. point shaving SOB's

yes that was unbelievable......just before that, UK was seemingly fouled on their last possession, but nothing was called and they lost the ball on a turnover..and then LSU scores on an inbounds play with 0.7 left. Coaches tell kids on teams that are winning not to foul in the last minute, so as a result, they don't play defense at all.

I got Kentucky early when they were still at 7, so I pushed.

Georgia isn't the same team without Mike Mercer. The Rebels are a solid team that not many people know about.

NC State +20
The Tar Heels are clearly the better team, but this is way too many points.

What could be good or bad for N.C. State is they already beat North Carolina, depends how much revenge the Tar Heels want to show.
