Why is that people like North, Boers, Bernstein, Dahl and Stern make a living saying anything about anyone they want, but if someone even looks at them crosseyed, they go crazy?

Massive insecurity problems. Typical of bullies. These guys are all pussies and afraid of their own shadows, which in the case of Dahl, is a rather large shadow.

I would think its because they're very careful about not crossing the line between criticizing a persons actions or statements and criticizing the person and potentially damaging their livelihood.

Of course, if that standard held, we'd see a lot more athletes suing talk show hosts, commentators and news people. Barry Bonds springs to mind. He's never been convicted of anything and he's never tested positive for anything but amphetamines, but the media has vilified him and it's open season on Bonds bashing.

I do think these guys are so used to hammerng people all day and the subject never gets any chance to respond, but this is one of the few places the people get a chance to speak. (or type)

Mike claims he just read this stuff for the first time this week and if that is true, which I doubt, he is the goof he calls everyone else.

No.. I'm quite aware of it.. and I was certain using Bonds as an example would be problematic for some.. would you have preferred I used Big Mac? We know he used andro which was a legal supplement at the time and the only reason he stopped is that MLB thought it presented the wrong image.

Fast forward a few years and rampant speculation (and his congressional testimony or lack thereof) has painted him as a steroid abuser and overall bad guy.

I guess my point is that you can't sue the court of public opinion if it collectively defames you, but if you can put your finger on an actual human or two that is doing it, you can at least entertain the idea.

Or a complete lack of penis...
