I don't think I am shocking anyone by saying I am not a Laurence Holmes fan. I don't think he should be fired, as he is an OK fill in and does a good job reporting, but he should not have a show. I usually just turn it off.

Just talking to someone who asked if I heard the open for todays Danny Mac show of Laurence trying to convince Mac that the Louisville bat company is worth a visit, to which Mac trying to withhold smirking says "Thanks, I think I'll pass on the wood shop."

You can hear Laurence's disgust in Mac's mockery, so much that Finji turned it into an open for today.

To which my guy said to me about Laurence "You can't fake Nerd!"

75 rounds of the minor league baseball draft and if you have any possible chance, you get drafted, unless your name is Kevin Hickey!

The 2 best players I knew personally got drafted, played 2-3 years in the minors and quit. One guy was ALL State at SS and 2B, Played at Northwestern was 1st team All American. Drafted by the Blue Jays in 46th round, played 3 years and retired and this guy was a GREAT Hitter.

Don't know about the "close" part, but I agree that he is a good solo listen. He always agrees with whatever Bernstein says and he always tries to stand up to Mac on some pitifully minute topic. When he's solo, he's seemingly no trying to impress anyone and comes across as a much better host.

Here's the difference between Spiegs and LoHo: Spiegs owns it while LoHo says the LoHo/Olin Kreutz combo would be devastating. LoHo does everything he can to show what a tough guy he is. That story from BigFan pretty much confirms it.
