That WAS brutal. Add the off target comments of JD and you had a real clusterfuck. I think it's funny that the three guys who have never negotiated a 7 figure contract in their lives (Silvy, Harry and JD) are the ones who speak like they are freaking experts and knowitalls on such a contract. It was no surprise to me that the one guy who has been involved in the process of negotiating an NFL contract (Jurko) was the reasonable, sensible one in discussing the Lovie contract process. Apparently, in Silvy, Harry and JD's world, the boss in a contract negotiation is always the bad guy when the boss doesn't pay the employee his demands immediately. And Silvy was acting like what happened with a different GM and President years ago with McGinnis is somehow relevant to what Phillips and Angelo are doing. The most hilarious and idiotic comment they made though was the one that because Petrino got $5 million from Atlanta, Lovie should be paid that. Just because there is one idiot owner that overpays someone, all owners should overpay? Isn't that how baseball got into so much trouble?

I feel sorry for Jurko being surrounded by such naievete. We have known for some time that Harry isn't in touch with the real world. Silvy and JD apparently aren't either. Let me know when Mac is back. This crapfest is unlistenable.
