Mike doing a good Old School Wrestling Bit! Guys calling in with great old time wrestlers! Great Names!

Then Anne needs to chime in with "They all have middle names!"

OH GOD!!!!!!!!

Mike did a fine job of ignoring her,

WAIT

She then adds.."When was this on?"

PLEASE JUST LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!

Mike is giving his breakdown of the WSCR's 67 greatest moments poll, and notices a few errors.

"dey got Bobby Hull listed as da first player ever to score 50 goals"
Annie: Thats not true! Eveybody knows it was Maurice "The Rocket" Richard"

"and den dey gots da Tunney v. Dempsey title fight at Soldier Field taking place in 1972"
Annie: Oh my, that was in 1927. The famous "long count" fight right?"

Come now WSCR, you can't honestly expect anyone who has heard more than 15 min's of this show to believe that Annie knew those facts. Right off the top of her head....not a moment of thought. What a scripted pile of crap( hey buddy).

But I know that crap comes with the territory. So I'll put up with the crap.

I didnt hear that, but I have heard similar set-up's with her. I guess they think people are stupid and dont realize how scripted it sounds. It is really sad, just pathetic.

North: Do you know who was after Annette Funicello?
Annie: Jimmy Darin.
Is that Bobby's brother?
Annie was almost right about her comment on the 1932 NFL Championship game, talking about the field being just 50 yards wide -- it was 60.
But this isn't working. Either she has to be fed information or she just totally misses the mark on her comments.
It's painful to listen to -- and I'm sure its worse in the booth.

North gets WSCR to offer Annie BIG $$$, she takes it, here who wouldnt? Remember when this show got started, it wasnt suppose to be all sports, because Mike thought he had this great insight with Politics and so, Anne was suppose to give her thoughts on those issues, problem turned out to be that he lost a huge part of his audience and to ask Annie to talk sports is just not working, its forced and that is bad radio.

Anne is taking the $$ while she can, even if she sucks, free $$, the American dream.

Hillarious! I haven't listened to a minute of North since that fateful morning at 6:16 when he announced the ditz would be allowed to talk again. Anyone...I mean anyone who thinks Uncle Bobby's traffic girl knows anything sports isn't paying attention. My favorite Tranny-ism was when North asked Fred "what has happened to David Terrell(sp?)? Annie said "he just had a birthday party on the east coast!" OOOppps. It was actually Terrell Owens who had the party!!! She doesn't know the difference between TO and David Terrell. She is completely worthless and I refuse to listen to North until she goes. Too bad, 'cause I actually like North and his special brand of conservative-ism. And now Mike and Mike will talk nothing but Yankees, Mets, and Red Sox 'till August.
Or she'll pick up a factoid from the morning paper and offer it as knowledge in that smarmy nasaly voice like "that was the most assists in a game since 1965, right?" And I'm thinking, yeah I read the Trib today too!

She is using a different picture this year in the King of the Track in the Sun-Times. This one doesnt make her look like Lily Munster as much. From what I can tell she is the only one using a different picture this year.

I'm in Annies corner. So she's full of sports flubs, but so are the guys on that show, except the bookie priest.
Wish there were more gals on sports radio. Shes not as good sports-wise as Swieca but is way better than the fabulous sports babe.

I'm in her corner until they replace the North show with Mongo and the Blackjack Strippers Morning Score.

yep. especially about the 'more women' part. launch mully and hanley and put in swieca and patterson, at the very least i could listen just to listen to pleasent voices (mully and hanley have the voice of sleep)

she had done traffic radio for awhile, she has a radio voice thats really the reason she does it. as the story goes, anne got the job through the interview process, but legend has it that anne got the job because her husband has a high-position in radio and knows mike personally. to me it doesnt matter, people get jobs in all sorts of ways and letting family have an 'in' is simply commonplace.

I figured it out. Ike South is Todd Stroger. Mystery solved.

For example, Ike's father was Executive Vice President of Stocking Shelves at the local T.J. Maxx.

The painful truth is that when "The new mike north show" was launched mike lost touch with his core audience. Anne and Buch, does anyone remember Buch, were brought in as an effort to attract a non sports audience. North was watching Imus in an effort to learn how to do political talk. Buch was booking WGN type guests. Annie and mike were arguing politics. They were trying to hit to all fields. Mike began to ignore the people that made him, the callers. Now mike is mad at the people posting on this board? This board is almost like a free focus group for the station. The funny thing is that he has implemented quite a few suggestions from this board. If he would launch anne and bring in another strong voice he could regain the respect of a lot of the long time score guys.

The Lilly Munster picture is back!!!!! I feel for her husband, she is not the best lookin woman around and she definitely isnt the brightest bulb in the pack so to have to live with her must be brutal.
