Derrick Rose is perfect. I'm not the biggest NBA fan, but this is a team anyone can root for. There isn't one guy on it I'd call an asshole. Of course, I'm a Bulls fan and I always have been. But it was often difficult for me to pull for those championship teams. Jordan and Pippen were dicks. There's not one bad thing anyone should say about Derrick Rose. Go Bulls!

I really don't give a shit if athletes are accessible or entertaining to the media. Most of the media are total jerk offs that should be ignored anyway. If you can't enjoy watching Rose play the game, then you truly hate basketball. And the "small town" reaction to not liking Lebron's actions and the Heat's actions are not limited to Cleveland and Chicago.

Does this show how desperate some newspapers have become to attract readers?
I believe this compares to the rush to throw former professional players into the role of coaches or game analysts.
So what if you've PLAYED the game. That doesn't mean you should be given the opportunity to coach it or talk about it.
One doesn't automatically become a columnist just because they show the desire to publicly share their opinions.

I strongly disagree. Mac sounds like an NBA ignorant tmz watcher who doesnt possess tr perceptive skills required to spot good leadership. The idea that somehow you have to be good on tv to be a good on court leader is absurd. The fact he's trying to hint the bulls aren't happy with this just goes to show out of touch with the sport and team he is. Of course this is nothing new with Mac. His basketball thoughts have always more or less rivaled WWN in terms of quality and originality
