Someone's got to be held accountable for this team's underachieving. Ozzie, pitching coach Don Cooper, hitting coach Greg Walker and G.M. Kenny Williams all deserve blame for this garbage. They are only 5-12 at U.S. Cellular Field this season and looked dead vs. Ranger righty Colby Lewis after a 6-3 road trip on the West Coast.

He can take LF Juan Pierre out of the leadoff spot if necessary, but what good will it do them? Ozzie doesn't want to put SS Alexei Ramirez in the leadoff spot because he prefers Alexei as more of an RBI guy and would like to eventually move him back down. He's not about to move 2B Gordon Beckham and his .217 BA to the top of his lineup either, and surely he can't be serious about CF Alex Rios and his .200 BA in the #1 spot. Quite frankly, Ozzie's stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Don Cooper deserves very little of the blame. If the axe should fall on Ozzie, I would look to secure Cooper's continued services. The axe isn't going to fall on Ozzie though. He has the contract through next year. I doubt he would push for an extension but who knows. If he does, he is gone and Ozzie for all his bluster has always backed away from a confrontation.

As for Dayan Viciedo, the Sox want him to continue playing right field and once they call him up, Carlos Quentin or Juan Pierre will be gone from this uneven roster.

McPherson can play both 3rd and the corner OF spots fairly well. He's a better option than brining up the fat Cuban kid and having him sit on the bench.

I thought the rule was whenever a team called up a player not on the 40-man roster, the team has to make another move just to make room...As for Dallas McPherson, he was one of the final cuts the White Sox made before breaking camp in Glendale, AZ. I remember the Sox had him at third and at first base...

The Sox don't have to make a corresponding move SHARKY because they have less than 40 players (35) on the 40 man roster. They just have to add McPhearson to the list.

I guess this is the correct move but I would have liked to see them rattle some cages and bring up Viciedo or Danks.
