Interesting move by LaRussa.

I hope he plays a few more games there for personal reasons.

Nice. Now the Cubs can sign both Fielder AND Pujols to fill out our infield in the offseason.

Ha. Ha.

Sorry, but decided after posting in this section that it may be more pertinent in the Cubs section. Thank you for noticing.

Was thinking about that earlier. Some leagues give you the position after only 1 game started. Hard to believe Pujols' value could go much higher, but adding 3B to eligibility would do it.

Pujols moved from 3rd to 1st to protect him from injury.
Albert has had back problems.
I can't believe LaRussa would take a risk like this.

Berkman has been hitting the cover off the ball pretty much all year and Pujols has not as of yet. If you hit, the manager will find a spot in the lineup for you, so Berkman can be at 1B.

Wouldn't it be better to just try and hide him in LF rather than 3B? I see this not ending very well.

I would think you could play Berkman in LF since he used to play OF anyway. But, who knows. I would think at some point Pujols would cost the Cards some runs, if not a game or 2 at 3rd.

Berkman seems to be playing RF whenever I see St Louis play. Isn't Matt Holiday still in LF?
