I can't recall lebron ever quitting this early in a series. And wade simply doesn't quit

This was one awesome game in which the heat didn't realize what they were walking into but there seems to be alot of prisoner of the moment going on here. The bulls are still young and learning to be champs. That process rarely comes smoothly for a new group as we saw with boston in 08 and the previous two series this year. Lebron and wade together are too talented to get swept right now.

Wade was tired. Not only did the Bulls keep him and LeBron out of the lane for most of the game they also pressured the ball at all times. That took a toll on them. Next game may be the biggest game of the series. If the Bulls come out playing the same way (and win) I believe they will create more doubt in the minds of the Heat and that may be enough to steal a game or 2 in Miami. No one should get too up about Game 1. The Bulls only protected their home court like they were supposed to.

lebron said himself he was more ready and excited to play game 1 then he ever has been. and he completely sucked. why? because he sucks. for his physical attributes he should be a lot better but he cant even match the production of a guy thats 6'3" and half the body size. why? because lebron james sucks.

I still can't believe Rose is producing like this with a bunch of shredded ankle tendons and ligaments.

Although I think LeBron & D.Wade will play better tonight in Game 2, the Heat won't win squat without help from other members of that roster. That means Mike Bibby, Mike Miller, Mario Chalmers and James Jones, YOU'VE GOT TO CONTRIBUTE AND NOT RESEMBLE STATUES! It's about team and you're going to get Erik Spoelstra fired if you don't resemble one!

I doubt spoelstra would get fired even if they got swept.

This is either really good or really bad. Since it isn't Jordan, this is probably a good thing. Now he has an excuse for sucking tonight.

Quote:
LeBron James fighting head cold

CHICAGO -- LeBron James won't just be battling the Chicago Bulls' strong defense and raucous crowd for Wednesday night's Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals.

James said this morning after the Miami Heat's shootaround that he's been stuffed up the past three days with a head cold that has been draining him. He said he's been treating it as best he can with medication and extra rest.

"I'm taking everything you can get it from 7-Eleven," James said. "I've been sick since we got here."

James struggled in the Heat's Game 1 loss to the Bulls, scoring just 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting. James did not blame his performance on the illness and has been able to get through all of the Heat's practices and workouts over the last few days.

So if they win, he dug down deep and played his heart out. If they lose, he was sick and can't possibly take the blame.

It's MJ in Utah or LeBron in Boston.

Bulls are missing a lot of easy shots tonite, should be up by at least 10 instead of down by 2.

I'm hoping they're going to play a little better. They should definitely be up by 10. They need to stop missing free throws and getting stupid fouls called on them.

Rose needs to wake up. Missing free throws? Come on now. At least they are getting early fouls against Miami early in the 4th. Let's go guys!

We saw the NBA learning curve live to tonight. Just as I laughed at the suggestion of a sweep after game 1, I'm amused by the already turn on Rose. Relax, this'll be a fun series

First time the Heat have beaten the Bulls this season.

The key to this series is survival. The Bulls just have to survive 7 games, and they can come out on top.

Playing not to lose means losing opportunities. I hope thibs and rose don't think like you do. The bulls are better than Miami and this sill show when the series is done I believe. I understand your point about survival but the bulls need to know they are better than anyone else and act accordingly. I'm still pretty sure they will, but this is as wide open a final four as i can remember

"I guess i gotta go harder next time" - Noah. He knows. I think the bulls do too.

Awful fourth quarter for Rose and Korver. Deng's efforts to create didn't really help either, though it kind of seemed necessitated by the inability of the other two to get anything going. I also think Asik should have gotten more playing time in the first half, and I would have liked to have seen him stay in the game in the fourth if he hadn't gotten cut.

Just one more big reason I'll be pretty upset if be doesn't retire a bull.
