It was good to hear the Grobber but the caller Glenn from Cicero or Skokie I think should have his own show (the guy that said hello to everyone individually). Maybe the Glenn and Grobber show.

Glenn gave us "we all know as fans and professionals that Wood and Prior are injury prone". :?

But my favorite was "According to me, the Cubs can't compete..."

I'm going to start using the phrase "According to me" all the time now. :D

That guy was great. The most unintentionally funny thing I've heard in a while.
North: Let's go to Glenn in Skokie.
Glenn: Hello? I'm in Cicero.
North: Ok, Cicero go ah......
Glenn: Hi Grobber, Hi Mike, uh Hi Anne, Hi Fred....blah blah blah.

Although I have to say, according to me, "according to me" is more responsible than the reporter standby line "some people are saying...."
Which, of course means, "I think...."

i loved how Grobber shot him down when the caller mentioned going with the youth movement.

Those 96 losses last year with all the youth were so encouraging. :D

This caller said Prior and WoodS. Drive me nuts when supposed Cub fans throw the S on Kerry's last name.

Well, according to me, he said "Wood". But, I was wrong. He did say "Woods".

That drives me crazy also.

agreed...I also hate SoldierS Field, even though it should be plural since it was dedicated to many soldiers and not a soldier.

As I recall, Soldier's Field is very near to Balboa Drive. Just ask Mike North.

I heard that it was once called Soldiers Field and then shortened to Soldier Field? I can't find anything to support this though....

It is great to hear Les and caught him doing some public league games last week on channel 50 , I think it was 50 and he sounded pretty good. It seems like Les has become a daily contributor on North's show which is good to hear but when is a permanent spot coming Les?

Actually, back in the day it WAS Soldier's Field as old ticket stubs will attest to.
