I know this may be a bit bold after being disconnected all of last week, but I finally have spent some time here on my favorite website. And after perusing several sections, I was left wondering... what have you Cats been up to lately? With all the news and mini-news cooking lately, the abyss really hasn't been as present as usual, but I've been uninspired by the lack of conversation here, on our e-mail system and by callers on the show. Let's roll, everybody. Entertainment isn't possible without a little thought.

Sorry Danny, sports-talk radio posters take a lot of vacation during the month of February

I think the reason for that Mac is that Grid Iron , Beef Rockmore, Harry Timbercrank , Spinning Bucket , Linda , 35TH sTREET SLICK AND THE REST OF THE PUPPETS ARE ON VACATION . :P

I've been very inspired by the underrated babes conversation. Probably not great radio though.

You guys keep talking about Bob Babich. I'll be right back - someone just posted a pic of the mom from Growing Pains.

Same can be said of your last column for the Goober Times. You like fries and a beer with your hamburger? Riveting stuff Mac.

does this mean emails will actually be read now? ;)

can we have more barry bonds talk? DP was talking about how certain anatomies changed in the time he's been with the giant, but didn't mention that his cup size is down to "T-Ball"

I don't know what you want Mac, the NHL trade deadline was today! Your show is practically programmed for you!

Sorry Mac, but I just don't have much interest in getting worked up about the Bulls or Hawks. I hate U of I, and would prefer you talk Big East basketball if you are going the NCAA route. You're in the drivers seat, and I'm just along for the proverbial ride until the tournament starts.

Physical Graffiti was released 31 years ago on your last day in Key West, Mackey. Lets hear some 'Kashmir', 'In My Time of Dying', or perhaps the most underrated Zeppelin rocker ever, 'The Rover', on today's drive.

While I absolutely love 'The Rover', I think the most underrated Zeppelin rocker has to be 'Wearing and Tearing'. That song cooks.

Mac, YOU went on vacation and left us with the whiny twins-Silvy and Harry. Just God awful radio last week and I'm pissed at you for leaving us with that air pollution. Christ, even Jurko was bored with the crap those two fools spit out.
Hey, next time take those two with you to carry your suitcases!!

I'll vouch for Bucket, this is his second incarnation and he is who he is.

I think it's time to face facts, if Mac is not their, the show is basically unlistenable. When Mac goes on vacation, you might as well all go on vacation, because the show goes bad, we get bad topics like which movie would you make about real life. That's why people got mad when you took a vacation sometime last year, they were mad because what we were left with. February is a bad month for sports, and when there's no football season, you just have the tournament to look for and the only reason to talk baseball is if a team gets off to a hot start, star player injuries, or fights and not Yankee fights that nobody cares about. Mac said they would be on vacation, I'm a little surprised there allowed to with that go into final four week, but that would be a vaction for everybody that week.

Don't know, Zack. I just think about it since the remote is on Friday and since I don't drink at bars anymore, I need to constantly eat to avoid getting a beer or two or three or six. If it was any other day, I would have opted for a cheeseburger or wings. As far as fish and chips go... somewhere in the bowels of the food section there is a thread about it.

gotcha coach--is it because beer's so expensive that you don't drink at bars anymore? or are you just trying to cut out alcohol altogether and bars are just a cruel reminder? or is that too personal?
