It's Ozzie, I think you know what you got with this guy and I have never seen the Sox have to release an official statement regarding what Ozzie said probably since he called Jay a burrito.

Now, out of nowhere, they are making Ozzie clarify what he meant and backtrack? With all the shit this guy has said over 7 or 8 years, now they need to release a statement?

Could the end of Ozzie be coming quicker than thought?

Despite his apologies, Ozzie has always had a disrespect for Sox fans. Every time the pressure is on him he releases a tirade against them. He did it as a player and he's done it as a manager.

The Sox have always tried to portray Ozzie as beloved by fans and teammates. Neither is true.

Me either, I just want results. Like it or not, The Sox have been in contention for all but one year during his tenure. Many fans would kill for this, Ozzie is one of the better managers in the league. He is frustrating with his decisions sometimes (like that Morel bunt yesterday) but at the end of the day he does a good job.

I don't really feel that he disrespected the fans anyways, the media loves to cover "Ozzie blowups" so now anytime he swears they act like he is out of control.

Like I said, he is one of the better managers in the game. Not in the legendary level, but in the end he will go down as a good manager. Above average might be a better word for it. All the surrounding stuff takes the focus of of his managerial skill. So many fans, especially outside of the midwest, only know that he is "crazy".

I'd agree with that. He's definitely the top half of the league. He's probably in the top 25%. He's not elite.
