agree.lol

I read the boards and see what might be going on.

I don't turn off the score for no reason, I turn off North within minutes of getting in my car as usually the topic is just terrible or it's Annie trying to talk sports.

If I wanted hear a girl talk sports that doesn't know what she is talking about, but just talks to be a part of the conversation, I would actually ask my GF "hey, what did you think of the game?"

Still, the North Porblem in the Morning, combined with so many preseason and early day game Sox games, really pushed me away. I am gonna say I am not the only one.

Whether or not "officially" acknowledged, people at the Score and 'MVP ARE at least browsing the musings on this message board. I have to chuckle at the "accountability" comment for two reasons: 1.) to WHOM are we supposed to be acocuntable, other than to ourselves and our own mindset and 2.) whither art thine own accountability when it comes to the irresponsible ramblings and outright misinformation delivered by on-air hosts or so-called reporters. To those who suggested that because they can't "control" the message board they either ignore or fear it, I say "indeed!" To those "insiders" who believe that listening in spite of our criticism renders us spineless windsocks or hypocrites (my interpretation of their view), I say back off your knee-jerk response and look a little deeper. READ what's being said here; there are clearly cogent, well-informed CONSTRUCTIVE comments being made here daily regarding your product. There just might be something here that could save your ass. Too many managers are of the mind that "if I didn't think of it, it isn't a good idea"...comment boxes may as well be trash cans to them. When you shut your mind to a vocal portion of your audience -- and yes, we are your audience, even if we only listen to Sox broadcasts or MJH only -- you will ultimately fail, drowning in the pool of your own mediocrity.

Personal note: Now that I've found a real job again, I'm not subjected to the bithering idiot that brought me to rant on this board initially. But he's still out there, polluting the airwaves of the Score from 6 to 10. God bless employment and God bless the iPod!

Isn't it a bit disingenuous to minimize the impact of a site when everyone in the industry seems to know about and looked at it on several occasions. Just a thought.

I have to agree with the other poster, they cant have the last word and hang up on posters here. They have a laot of nerve saying that it hurts them more then helps me, lets see, they can be critical of eveyone they want, but we cannot give opinions on them. I have said it a 1000 times, they are sports talk hosts, not doctors, the ego's in this industry will always amaze me.

[quote="bigfan"]Honestly, don't care.

They know they have a problem in the morning and the only reason changes havent been made is that Mike North is in control......but Annie just does not fit with the station at all, thus replacing her is a huge blow to Mike's ego and we cry and bitch about it............. but it sure seems to be a number of them that USED to listen........Willing to wager you find 100 more former listeners that have changed listening habits in the same way.
..........Did they replace us/them?/quote]

Haven't heard a word a MNMS since "the announcement" that Tranny could speak again. I like Northy, but I can't take the dimwit. I like Freddy too. It seems so easy to fix that show. We've said it a hundred times....lose the dingbat and talk sports. 'SCR would pay thousands to a consultant for that kind of advice, yet ignore it from (former) listeners.

Scoreheads: the bottom line is The Bottom Line. The main problem for CBS is he has a multi-million $ contract that pays him whether he's on-air or off-air / and CBS isn't willing to pay him over 2 million $ to do nothing until July 2008 so he's their Loss-Leader until then. But I still like the Steve Dahl angle / CBS would pay North to stay home ONLY if Dahl would leave WCKG for WSCR / then CBS could either sell CKG for millions & fire Drew Hayes or switch it to Spanish & fire Drew Hayes / it's a Win-Win!

I heard North railing against his station that no reporters will be at Spring Training this year.

What's up with that?

I thought these guys were the flagship for the White Sox - and I'd assume the White Sox were their crown jewel to be promoted at any and every angle.

Are North or Boers and Bernstein going to be broadcasting from there? Or are they staying put as well?

Mac gave them a thumbs down during Critics yesterday for this - the Score blocked MJH from broadcasting from Tucson Electric Park, which is their prerogative to not have competition for their own shows. However, to block MJH and STILL not send your own teams, was just chickenshit.

Those guys didn't get a sponsor to foot the bill!

Keep up the good work sales. Thanks Mitch!
