Pierre is up after this year, right? So he's our new left fielder/lead off man next year I guess. Ozzie is doing it right with him. Platoon him between 3 players: Pierre, Rios and Dunn.

I'm nervous when a little guy like him hits homers. Cuz it won't last, they figure him out and he still tries that upper cut swing for the fences when his best bet is a short swing for singles and line shot gappers. But, hey, ride it while it lasts and maybe the kid is a player.

Like I said, I'm not convinced. Maybe he's exposed the more at bats he gets. So many guys have gone this path.

Lillibridge has played surprisingly well in the outfield too, so they aren'y losing anything defensively when he plays out there. Beats playing the .201 hitting Rios, at least until Lillibridge cools off. Gotta go with the hot hand.

He is the White Sox version of Mike Fontenot.

tends to swing for the fences and Ozzie hates that. He does play hard and the Ozzaroo loves that.

I wouldn't say his outfielding has been well, he still continues to take poor routes to balls.
I guess if you look at the 0 errors on the stat sheet it has been well.

Viceado takes over for Pierre. I have no idea who leads off.

True story: Dwayne Wise was sitting in the front row of the bullpen sports bar on Saturday night.

You know how we knew who he was? He was wearing one of his old jerseys.

You are partially right, GD. Other than Juan Pierre, who leads off for this team? SS Alexei Ramirez? 2B Gordon Beckham? Lillibridge? If Pierre is sent packing, Ozzie has to find a leadoff hitter for this uneven roster. For all I know, that new leadoff hitter could be in the White Sox minor league system, and he's not Dayan Viciedo.

Viciedo is definitely in this team's plans, but they may have to say goodbye to RF Carlos Quentin to do so. With DH Adam Dunn, CF Alex Rios & P Jake Peavy eating up about 1/3 of this roster salary wise, the Sox would have to eat up a big chunk of these three's contracts to trade. I'm not so sure you can get much in return for those 3 in comparison for Quentin. I think CQ will be as good as gone at the MLB Trade Deadline next month.

As for Lillibridge, he's got more homers than both Adam Dunn & Beckham, but he's a shortstop/second baseman by trade. While he's done a good job in the outfield, whether in late inning defense or giving others a breather, Lillibridge should be giving guys like Beckham & Ramirez a breather instead of playing positions where he's still mistake-prone. The White Sox should have a true 4th outfielder on their roster, keep Lillibridge and also pursue a trade for Omar Vizquel to a true contending ballclub.

I wouldn't be surprised if Quentin is gone at the deadline. Jackson will almost certainly go- probably sooner. And don't be shocked if they move Danks too. I suspect next season's leadoff man may not be on the current roster.
