Anyone download this? Now that I finally got my Xbox live working after 3 months of poor technical support I was looking at downloading this game to get my poker fix.

It looks pretty fun and the use of RPG and leveling up has replaced real money which is fine by me since I play poker for the competition of it, not the money.

Has anyone played it? If so, how is it? Do people take it seriously or do they just play like idiots?

Dude... this game is my crack cocaine. I have played that until 3:00 AM in the morning and then had to get up at 5:30 AM to go to work. I love it.

Money is like kills in COD... they don't really mean anything. You gain experience by winning tournaments, playing continguous games, folding at the right time, taking down big pots, etc. You unlock different clothes, chips, tables, venues, Tournament Buy-Ins, table tricks (these are the best, IMHO), etc. with more experience.

Cool, sounds like fun. I would buy it today but I only have 600 microsoft pts and can't add more till my new credit cards show up. Had to cancel all of them yesterday after getting my computer stolen.

Some folks in this game are really good poker players... most are pretty casual. Sometimes you get some really racist guys who start mouthing off... I just Mute those guys. You get in some funny conversations sometime.

I only do my racist bits here. When playing video games online I switch over to my pedophile material.

Got the game, its ok. Pretty much no one knows how to play, but its still pretty fun to rack up a bankroll and experience. Most of the tournaments and cash games I played were ok, only one sucked because everyone was going all in on every hand.

I played that Texas Heat gameshow and that was a joke, completely rigged. Lost 5/6 hands where I had the best hand by far when the money went in and lost on a 2 outer/4 outer on the river on 5/6 and won the other. In real poker that's rare to happen twice, let alone 5/6 times.

Overall, for the price and combined with all the internet sites being shut down, this is a worthwhile purchase if you really need a poker fix.

I suppose the next question is: can this be played by a select number of players or is it always just random seating ... that is to say, if enough people around here owned the game, could a CSFMB-only game be set-up online? If so, I'd consider buying it. It's not CiJ's place, but it'd be a second option.

yep, you can create a tournament and invite friends to it. That would be the ideal use of this game, if we had 6-10 people we knew and we could meet up for a game online.

my gamertag is orzy4 so if you get the game add me as a friend and I'll do the same.

In playing the game over the weekend I did manage to meet a couple cool people and add them as friends. I imagine after playing this for a while you will eventually have a list of people you like so when you start a tourny you can invite everyone.

I know I saw a couple other fellas 'round here playing the other day .... I'll start on convincing myself to spend the points; perhaps I'll get around to picking it up later tonite.

same as it is here... My name 1s MUD

Me and the PGL folk end up just all joining an open table. Nice to meet some new folks... the unintentional comedy with the general population (as we call them) is sometimes off the charts.

I may be late to this title but it's not too bad .... I'm just a bit itchy about it because this seems to be the next game MS is pushing to be it's "everyone plays and loves this game" in the 'proud' tradition of such titles as XBLA Game Room and 1 vs 100 ..... let's hope for a significantly longer shelf-life.

I would've probably played a bit longer tonight, but apparently there's a dickload of half-hour sessions where people at level 10 or less get double the payout at the end.

shakes, you were right about there being no shortage of dopes out there playing. Not to say that I'm a card sharp because I'm not, but I found the computer ai to be far more challenging than the regular folks I drew at a couple tables. Didn't stop me from not winning, but still ....

With any online poker game you're gonna have the "all in" idiots. So far I haven't been bombarded with them. I dig the Texas Heat game show thing. Overall this game is currently my favorite...

Cool, I'll try to create a game around 7 and I'll invite everyone. Do you guys want to play a tourny or a cash game?

So I played last night with Ivan and Chris. Well, I'm not sure if I can really say I played with Ivan since he only lasted one hand before busting out  . Then he sent me a message that he meant to fold instead of call which is understandable. Ivan, you gotta get your mic fixed!

Then I played the Texas Heat game and ended up at a table with Chris. That game is retarded. Everyone at the table basically went all in on every hand. Didn't see Ivan, but afterwards they showed the stats and Ivan lit it up at another table and finished around #500 out of 5000 people.

We gotta try to get everyone online together and in a game cause this game would be a lot of fun if we knew everyone at the table and we all had mics (cough* ivan *cough)

Yeah I was pissed about that call insted of fold brain fart I had, so I took out my frustrations on the Texas Heat players. I'm gonna get a mic some time this week so I can taunt Chris...

Ivan sends me a message last night after another strong texas heat performance saying "I can't be stopped"

My simple response was " Your mic stopped you"
