Is there something wrong with any of that? Why do people like that deserve to be degraded?

People come in all shapes and sizes. I don't think that is representative of "the common black man" but I don't have a mental picture of "the common black man". I certainly would not look down on someone who chose to have any of the above things no matter what race.

It is ironic that your "characterization" seems to be right in line with things that unapologetic racists use. Of course, the two terms aren't in any way related though.

I don't know. I also don't know why someone would post a bunch of stuff on a message board and just pretend they were joking or just trying to get a rise out of people.

Are we really to believe that the term "wigger" is not meant as a derogatory term based superficially on race?

It's sounds like you do understand why it's a racist term then.

Rick, I don't know how to address this any clearer. I would think it is usually obvious when I'm being facetious and sarcastic, and when I am serious.

I think that most if not all of your issues on this site are related to the fact that you are not obvious when joking and being facetious and sarcastic. Speaking for myself, I can't ever tell if you're serious or fucking around, because you change lanes often depending on the reaction to your statements. I think many things that start out as serious end up being "jokes" later, once exposed for being wrong, outlandish, or offensive. I don't think that I'm the only one that feels like that, but I'll let them speak for themselves, should they choose to.

I think that if a term is offensive, or if someone feels that it's racis,, that's pretty much enough to call it offensive or racist in all but the most extreme of misunderstandings. So far, I don't see anyone sharing your viewpoint but hey, there's taht silent majority I've heard of from others.

edit: I've never changed a lane. Your perception is not the truth.

So which is it?
If you're just making shit up to get responses to people thinking you're serious, you're doing little more than trolling. Sounds like you're strictly attention seeking with that need for attention to your posts.
Why not post real thoughts instead of this fake bullshit to get attention and let people discuss topics naturally rather than with the Springer-esque style you seem to feel you need to use to get post count up on your topics?

Nice edit...
Yeah, you change lanes all the time. You later say you were joking or just kidding to get responses. You have a bit of a rep for this. It's not my perception, it's your reputation. If your rep is wrong, maybe work on that.

You're losing your touch, IMU. Your stance here isn't even believable in the slightest.

And the "intellectually superior" schtick is getting tiresome as well. You act as though you have thought about all of these topics at a deeper level, for greater lengths of time, than anyone else ever has - and that the rest of us are just simple beings that are incapable of doing so. You may not say it exactly that way, but that's how it comes out, time and time again. "It is not my job to help you comprehend detailed or complicated thoughts" is a perfect example. That's the thing about it though, your "detailed and complicated thoughts" are often no deeper than a puddle. You can repeat yourself over and over and add many more words to your posts each time, but the depth never changes. The fact is you have no greater insight into race relations, religion, the middle east, etc than the rest of us do - and often by your own admission, your sheltered and homogenous life has, in fact, given you less insight. I understand that most of what you do here (now) is just an act, but at least understand that is exhausting, bored, and essentially un-interesting to the rest of us.

Go back to the Starlin-slurping, fast food eating little kid act. It had all of the depth of your current character, but was much easier to deal with and interact with.

This is true. I know it took me a good twenty minutes to understand your "jagerbombs = white person + racial slur" thesis.

Do you think anyone would be offended if you used the two word version of the term?

I think its more of an eye rolling situation

A jack ass is a jack ass regardless of color

No need to use that word or the word it comes from.

The whole premise is flawed though. Its saying a white person acting like that is a problem but a black person acting like that is to be expected.

A few months ago at a bar, there was a terribly drunk person shouting and calling multiple people this.

It was not in Schaumburg.

School District board should be kicked out.

Quote:
A Minnesota school district allowed a homecoming event called "Wigger Day," during which students wore clothes and behaved in a manner that "from their perspective, mimicked black culture," according to a federal class action lawsuit filed against the district on Friday.

The suit alleges that despite student council voting on a "tropical theme" for homecoming in 2009, a group of approximately 60 students from the predominantly white school instead attended the event dressed for "Wigger Wednesday" in "oversized sports jerseys, low-slung pants, baseball hats cocked to the side and 'doo rags.'"

COMPLAINT AND JURY DEMAND
I. INTRODUCTION

Teenagers do not always understand the profound impact that bigotry and bullying has on its victims. But adults should. Especially when the adults are administrators and teachers within public schools wherein they are acting as parens patriae. The Plaintiff, through her counsel, brings this lawsuit to hold the Defendant School accountable for its deliberate indifference to the harm she suffered during, and following, the “Wigger Days” held at Red Wing High School in 2008 and 2009.

The Defendants’ deliberate indifference to the harm Plaintiff experienced as a result of “Wigger Days” was not only immoral, but as the Tenth Circuit made plain, it was illegal:
It does not take an educational psychologist to conclude that being referred to by one’s peers by the most noxious racial epithet in the contemporary American lexicon, being shamed and humiliated on the basis of one’s race, and having school authorities ignore or reject one’s complaints would adversely affect a Black child’s ability to obtain the same benefit from schooling as her white counterparts.

Perhaps you need a cable that connects to your brain so it starts working properly. I have been a distant supporter of you but you make it difficult to continue this any longer. Quit talking DOWN to people like you are some young know it all with a job that quite frankly most any one on the board could do or has done in the past. I used to work 50-60 hours a week also. When I was young, dumb, and full of piss and vinegar. And I got paid by the hour. You make more that way. I do not work for free. Why does every thread you post on turn into IMU vs. Everyone else. You really are an attention grabber. But as several have said really no one cares. I would bet you have a facebook and are on it every 5 minutes or so to check your status responses. Why not just come on the board and post about said topic without all the drama queen bullshit? BTW I do not need a retort. Just my observation of your game you play here.

upon (re-)reading this thread, i'm glad that massa was nice to imu and gave him some piddly little discounts for a year or two. it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, kind of like in a few years when he'll be making posts damning comcast for their part in ending net neutrality and costing him a bunch of $$$ for shit he used to do for free =D
