Get rid of the DH, and MLB can do anything they want with the divisions.

I doubt that will happen. I'm ambivalent about the DH. I like baseball with it or without it. But I think the fans have weighed in overwhelmingly in favor of it. It's in use in every single league at every single level with the lone exception of the National League. With heavier attention being paid to PED usgae, you can see offense decreasing before your eyes. The elimination of the DH would exacerbate that. I'm fairly certain that isn't the way MLB wants to go.

I wouldn't say I'm against adding in more offense to the game, but I just dig the strategy used in a non-DH'ed game. IMO, there isn't anything better than a 15 inning National League game where both teams have exhausted their benches, and 8 double switches have been done. You don't get that in the AL, and that's why I find the games less appealing. Matchups and decision making mean alot more in the NL. In the AL, you don't have to worry about going to the bullpen because your pitcher is due up to bat in a 1-0 game, or possibly taking out one of your top hitters in a double switch to move the pitcher lower in the upcoming batting order I'm not saying either side is right or wrong, but that's just how I personally feel about it.

Douchebag, can you please break down what you think of the Kerry Sayers looking, soon-to-be-married Jenny Jones?

The one thing that appeals to me most about a balanced schedule with teams playing EVERY other team in Baseball, is the opportunity to go see all those other teams play your favorite team in their ballpark. I would love to go see some American league ballparks, where the opportunity to see the Cubs playing in those parks would be a yearly thing. It couldn't be a completely balanced schedule with 3 home/away games vs every other team in baseball, or teams would be playing 186 games. That means some home/away series would just be 2 games. But they could just switch it up every year, where one year a series between the Cubs/Reds would have 3 away and 2 road games and then the following year it switches in favor of the other team. If every team had 5 total games vs each other team, that would only leave 7 extra games. You simply schedule traditional rivals and ex-divisional foes in those games, so that there are 3 home/away games vs those teams every year.

That said....I hate the idea for the limited opportunities to see teams like the Cardinals this would afford.

I heard the soon-to-be-married, still Jenny Jones-looking Kerry Sayers on FOX32 News Saturday night mention this MLB realignment story, and I doubt seriously that "Commissioner" Allan H. Selig and MLB powers that be have the votes to make it a reality.

Why the quotes around commissoner?

Now now, spany. Maybe Steven in Burbank knows something we don't. There might be an extra team somewhere, or there will be some intrasquad games that will count.
