How will Viciedo be used with the White Sox? And when will he arrive? During a conversation with MLB.com, general manager Ken Williams seemed strongly inclined to get Viciedo up to the White Sox soon, but definitely not in a reserve capacity.

"It would be awfully interesting to have him in this lineup," said Williams of the player dubbed "the Cuban Tank." "He's ready. He's obviously got some things he still needs to work on, but I would have no qualms about bringing him here.

"I'm not going to bring him here to sit. [White Sox manager] Ozzie [Guillen] is not ready to change the mix he has right now, and that has to be respected."

No it doesn't Kenny. It does not have to be respected. Ozzie is very stubborn. We didn't have a traditional leadoff man in 2008. We still won. You have the veto power, you are the GM. Do what it takes to win. Losing these games to a AAAA lineup is not acceptable.

They will start killing the ball again against the Cubs. This team is a hitter or two away from contending. White Sox are the worst in high leverage situations. You don't play Adam Dunn at seventh. You don't continue to play a guy at leadoff who is just not performing, even though he works hard. You don't ignore a 10 million dollar guy who is killing the ball in triple AAA. Kenny Williams has to take some control of this team. Enough of this coddling.

So you're saying they have the worst leverage in the history of leverage?

Ozzie better play Dunn out in left field in interleague.

Is it time to start lowering expectations on Beckham. His production has been falling for 3 straight years.

0-4 vs. the injury-ravaged Twins this season...Pathetic! Another quality start goes to waste as Mark Buehrle is the hard-luck loser this afternoon.

I wouldn't pin this loss on Gordon Beckham. While his strikeout in the 9th was bad, he wasn't alone. I've never seen a team get a base hit and don't even advance the runner...You can't wait for homers, and with the much faster Brent Lillibridge pinch running for Adam Dunn in the top 9th after Dunn singled with 1 out, I'm surprised Ozzie didn't have Lillibridge running at all during that awful sequence...

Beckham has been pretty good as of late. He is far from the problem. If the Sox stand pat and do not make any adjustments I am going to be pissed. Kenny Williams needs to speak up here soon.

Now watch them go on a major run during inter-league, get our hopes up, and then fuck it up again.

Its not the end of the season by any means, but it is very frustrating.

Hard to be productive hitting at the bottom of that shit fuck lineup. Ozzie has a quick trigger with the young guys but those vets are cast in fucking stone.

Its not the end of the season by any means, but it is very frustrating.

Gordon Beckham's made just 1 error all season at second base, and the batting average is a far cry from below .200 that ended April when talk of sending #15 back to Triple "A" Charlotte started all over again. While he'll be the first to admit his BA isn't where he'd like it to be, he's really good defensively already as is. He's far from the only problem.

As for Interleague play, the Arizona Diamondbacks are the ONLY plus .500 team the White Sox are scheduled to play among their remaining NL competition, I can't expect this maddeningly inconsistent team to go 25-5 again like they did a year ago at this time to get back into contention. It still wasn't enough and the Sox finished 6 games behind the eventual division champion Twins. Besides, this team continues to suck in their own division, where they are now 0-4 vs. Minnesota and have just 1 win vs. a Tigers' team that Ranger continues to tell anyone who'll listen is the REAL team to beat in the A.L. Central.

I'm not saying Beckham is a bust but maybe it is time to forget about him being anything above #7 in an order.

GD, with the White Sox playing this weekend in the NL park, don't be shocked if Ozzie has Beckham batting 7th and Morel/Vizquel/Teahen batting 8th vs. the Diamondbacks in the All-Star city of Phoenix. As for batting 7th all the time, I'd be cool with that...

I'd do this:

Quentin
Pierzynski
Konerko
Dunn
Rios
Ramirez
Beckham
Morel
Pierre

Viciedo

I think Beckham would do really well up near the top of the order. Dunn needs to be back in either 3 or 5. He will provide protection and get better pitchers. He is getting garbage. Pierre needs to be gone. This team isn't having problems getting on base, they are having problems driving in the runs.

Hey! You're allowed to make a lineup. You can't make roster moves too.

There is something seriously wrong with this team and it goes right to its core. The offensive production is just not consistent or dependable. These fuckers cannot muster a hit when they absolutely have to, while the fucking Twins do it all goddamn day. This Twins team should be in the cellar, but mark my words they will finish ahead of the Sox when the season is over.

I don't understand why Kenny cannot build a solid team. There's always some fucking problem with one or two positions that just cause this team to be uninspiring. Every fucking Spring they dig themselves a huge hole, then spend the rest of the Summer digging out of it only to come up short in September. The Chairman should not be afraid to shitcan Kenny and or Ozzie and get some competent personnel. This is the third fucking largest market in Sports, fucking act like it Jerry!
