Marshall was with the team another two years after 85.

In fact most of the starting units on both sides of the football were kept intact in 86 and 87 (barring injuries).

I heard Dave Duerson say that the reason they didn't win more Super Bowls was because the team was broken up. No, they were kept intact, the players and coaches did not perform in two straight playoff losses at home.

Let's not go jumping off any bridges yet. Can we at least see what kind of team we have heading into training camp?

Thank you enigma. Bears fans and radio hosts get this wrong all of the time. Wilbur Marshall was on the 86 and 87 Bears. So was Willie Gault. Walter Payton played those 2 years as well. Those two years the Bears were bounced in the first round. The team had talent.

In fact. In 1988 the Bears advanced to the NFC championship game. Better then the two prior years.

1988 was the year we lossed Marshall, Gault, to the Skins and Raiders. Payton and Fencick to retirement. So we did better that year with less talent.

Yet more proof that drunk people shouldn't post on message boards.
