I actually wouldn't mind something like that once in a while. If you're going to play that kind of game, the element of surprise is critical. I always wondered why Thome didn't lay one down occasionally with that shift on. Everything Ozzie does is so fuckin' predictable. He got lucky twice, but otherwise looked really good. The bullpen in general has recovered very nicely. A few sox fans just seem unwilling to acknowledge that.
