I'd take Mack. I think he could add something to the team fairly quickly which I think is rare for such a low pick.

If you take Mack do you trade Watson or eat that money?

I still don't think JJ has reached his potential. It's remarkable how much he has improved in a short time period. If he can gain about 30 more pounds over the next few years and keep his athleticism he could be another Marcus Camby type. I wouldn't expect much out of him the first year though.

I expect James Johnson rookie years from anyone the Bulls take there anyway.

A couple more thoughts after cramming all morning on NBA stuff for no reason

I think Jan Vessely has the best chance of becoming an All Star at the pro level. His game should translate easily enough and unlike other prospects he has some definitive strengths and weaknesses. A good staff will be able to coach him all day.

I really like Kanter to Waahington. Wall is pulling hard for him, and I'm assuming the fine folks in our capital are a bit sick of the McGee/Blatche Potential experiment. They are potentially the dumbest, softest frontcourt in the east.

Biyombo would be projected 10 slots lower if this draft didn't suck and his name wasnt cool as hell. He seems pretty shitty compared to the other raw foreign guys. The Lithuanian Motiejunas is the best "project" prospect IMO

I think Bulls have to look at Mack, Jujuan Johnson, and Kyle Singler. Nobody they are going to draft are going to be stars (most likely), but they could draft role players who are NBA ready right-now.

I think all three could step in and play meaningful minutes next year as part of the bench mob. Johnson, I think, could turn into a defensive force in this league.

I agree. There's no way they should pass on him at 28. There's also no reason Boston or Dallas should pass on him at 25, 26.

I can't believe that Jujuan Johnson is looked at as a late 1st to 2nd round pick. The guy is an athletic beast whom averaged 20 ppg in college at a big time school. I think he is a steal for the Bulls at 28.

I also am high on JuJuan.
He's long as hell and even though he needs to add some pounds, he did bench 15 reps to the leader's (Justin Harper) 19.
The rest of his measurables were similar to Kanter's.
I know they aren't everything.
But he did play 4 years of college ball and had good repoire with his teammates, something GarPax said he was looking for.

All bets are off concerning who the Bulls will draft at #28 and #30, let alone if they will make a deal along the way. For what it's worth, I heard the Sporting News' Mike DeCourcy suggest the Bulls take Duke's Kyle Singler if he's still available at #28 with Mac & Spiegs in the Noon hour on The SCORE. Veteran Sun-Times NBA scribe Lacy J. Banks has Butler's Sheldon Mack going to Chicago at that spot with Purdue's JaJuan Johnson going at #30.

I have no idea who the Bulls have in mind tonight...I think it's safe to say that both picks at #28 and #30 won't exactly make an immediate impact. I hope one or both of these guys like the NBDL or having to play in Europe for a year or two...

I still dont get why they want to push out McGee. he's basically Theo Ratliff who can win games with his D. You shouldn't be looking for a double double from him. He's going to be a 9/7 3 blocks guy.

No more white Duke players. The percentges are not in their favor.

Vince - McGee gets lost on d and o alot. He misses switches routinely and isn't a good rebounder for his size. A 7 foot Tyrus Thomas with less offensive versatility. Maybe a bit better at blocking.

The draft room in Minny looked like someone just won the cover-all in BINGO.

Did Bismack just say it took "whore work" to get to the NBA? Kids learn so fast.

Jimmer can only best Vesley by French kissing Jay Bilas while spanking himself.

I like Detroit's pick of Knight the best so. The wizards made a good pick. The bobcats are stupid
