While Ozzie has done some bad things this year, I compliment him for having this team 4.5 out, at this point, with Pierre, Dunn, Beckham and Rios being bad all year. That's 4 out of 9 starters and you're still this close.

I give more credit to Konerko. He's carried us this year. Nobody has been more important to a team this year than him.

The Sox are 2 games under.500 with the shit bucket Nats coming in for a weekend series then they end the month at Colorado. If they win both series they will end the first half of the season at .500 which is amazing for how bad they've played. They've won 4 of their last 5 series.

For all of you wondering what the A.J/Peavy thing is about, it's obvious, AJ forced him to throw a pitch he didn't want to throw. So they bitch it out. Who cares?

I don't think AJ can force him to throw anything. After shitbag DeWitt hit a laser off him for the third hit of the inning Jake was clearly gassed and I think AJ told the bench to get him out of there. Peavy was pissed but I'm sure after he cooled down he realized it was the right move. He was done.

Yeah. You're right. That could be it. I didn't see AJ call for Ozzie to take him out. Maybe I missed that.

No. I was right. Ozzie just said there was a "misunderstanding" about the sign. That means AJ kept putting down the same sign after Peavy shook him off. That's how you force him to throw a pitch. That's what I thought it was.

Just got home. Fun game, bullpen was great. Peavy can be quite the Diva. Also I have an ICP Cubs fan behind me... two types of totally annoying.

What a great series! This is easily the highlight of the season so far. To be able to proclaim dominance over the team you hate the most is sweet. Hopefully they finish the job in Wrigley and prove once again that Chicago is a White Sox town.

When Hill was hitting in the 8th inning, 2 idiot Cubs fans behind me were not happy with letting him hit. I can understand that, but this was the conversation- word for word, I shit you not- that went on behind me.

Anyone sit in left field? The drunk as shit cubs fan with the Cubbie yamaka was one of the more obnoxious people I have ever seen at a sporting event. Quite a few people there seemed more interested on trying to put on a show (trying to dance sexy, pretend to lift up their shirts, trying to make witty comments, do play by play) than actually trying to watch a baseball game.

Also this unexplainable decisions to try to goad the home crowd. Terrible timing:

Cub fan when Cubs were threatening, Hilll: "Where's all the noise at now? Where's all the noise at now Sox fans?"
Sale strikes out opposing batter, Sox fans cheer loud. Didn't really seem like he had any idea what was actually going on.

Remember all the Cubs fans on this site who complained about the unfairness of how the Sox got to host the one game playoff against the Twins at home? I don't hear them talking about how unfair it is that this years season could ultimately be decided by the last game at Wrigley Field. Typical.
