Cooper has never struck me as a great pitching coach...maybe OK, but nothing like Rothschild or Duncan

now Im starting to rethink this

he must be a pretty goad coach

he has developed and maintained the success of Buerhle, Danks, Floyd, and now Humber

he has fought through a zillion injuries to Peavy and now Peavy looks OK

even Jenks apparently overachieved with us before he left

and as bad as the bullpen was earlier in the year, it was somehow able to be stablizied with the emergence of Santos and Sale...Crain and Thornton have also settled down

the Sox keep bringing up decent young pitching

Im starting to think Cooper is a pretty good pitching coach

Rothschild is way over rated as a pitching coach. Just like Hendry is overrated as a baseball man.

He seems to do his job very well, gets results with pitchers that others have been unable too.
