Nothing can be done. MLB rules say all teams must die with the closer.

Not sure why you pinch hit for a guy who was 2-4.

Would also be nice to pinch run for AJ because its almost going to take a double to score him.

Yeah I have no clue why you sacrifice there and not pinch run for AJ

Yep, that rule is enforced by the push button.

Nevermind, you can't pinch run for AJ because you would have no catcher left.

Not with Dunn on deck. Power be dammed, I'd take my chances with the guy hitting under .180

See, I was right. Even as a meaningless run on 2nd, JP forced the balk.

Ump called it right away, Dunn turned around to ask if it was a balk. It was a balk. He started toward home (leaned back), then stepped off. By rule, a balk.

Dunn gets 2 hits, and the announcers act like he is back, wow. He will go 0-4 tomorrow with 3 K's.

It's the first time since 2000 that 2 MLB games have ended on a balk. The Braves beat the Mets June 16th in Atlanta in the same manner. It's not exactly how the White Sox wanted to win that ballgame, but they will take it, only their 7th in 18 AL Central meetings this season. Hopefully, it's only the start.

The lineup is in for tonight's second of three vs. the Royals, and here's who will deal with Kansas City's Felipe "Who the hell is he?" Paulino:

1 Juan "Good at Baseball Again?" Pierre LF
22 Brent "Why Did Ozzie Pinch Hit for Me in the 9th?" Morel 3B
32 Adam "A 2-Run Homer Last Night!!!" Dunn DH
14 Paul "I Should Be Going To Phoenix" Konerko 1B
20 Carlos "1 for 4 Last Night" Quentin RF
12 A.J. "Doubled and Scored the Winning Run" Pierzynski C
18 Brent "Alex Rios is Slumping Again!" Lillibridge CF
11 Omar "Days are Numbered?" Vizquel SS
15 Gordon "I Know How to Bunt" Beckham 2B

Jake "Maybe I Should See Dr. Phil" Peavy starts the 7:10p game that ought to be broadcast in "Sven-surround" on WCIU 26 The U this eve.

Damnit, JP is back in, he sucks. Viciedo needs to be up here soon. That Dunn homerun was big. I think he is working his way back, he has been making better contact and is seeing the ball. With Dunn's stats and his consistency, its actually far more realistic to think he is going to regress to his mean rather than stay as bad as he has been.

Kenny is not bringing him up not JP, plus Dunn needs not to REGRESS anymore he needs to make progress....you're starting to make me look like Einstein

Why are the Sox putting on a "voting campaign" for Andre Ethier?
