Brenly all over Byrd in the 9th for not breaking up a double play. He was running on the pitch and was on top of 2nd when the SS got the ball, but never tried to take him out. He went in really soft, should have never even been forced out.

I wonder if Quasimodo will chew him and bench him like he did Castro, he's a boob

Christ, another one run loss. A poorly constructed roster, an inadequate manager, a boob for a GM and a 'fanboy' for on owner. Thank the fucking Lord I'm a Cub fan, shit.

Byrd was almost out at the plate on that ball that dropped between CF and Werth because he was running like a lazy piece of shit. Sori out of the box was just as bad. That shit is embarassing to watch......and why the hell do you let a reliever who has already walked 2 continue pitching???

See this is what is great about this country, you made this choice on your own, no one forced or told you. You reasoned this out all by yourself. Let Freedom ring :D

Another day.....another lineup.

The 80th version of the lineup this season:

Reed Cobb
Baker @2nd
Aram
Soto
Soriano
Can't run the bases hard Byrd
Pena
Barney @ss
The Ramon Ortiz

So basically Byrd dogs it on multiple occasions yesterday but plays and Castro gets a day off.

has any reporter asked quade about byrds lack of hustle? I heard that brenly called it out on the broadcast. Just a week or so ago the Castro thing made all the news and quade was saying how he treats players equally. I call BS.

Someone wake up Paul Sullivan or Levine. They suck too

Doug Davis, Rodrigo Lopez and Ramon Ortiz all start for a major league team in the same season (and it's not 2001). The only way that should happen is if there was a plane crash. If it weren't the Cubs I wouldn't believe it.

Quade is continuing to ass fuck this team on a nightly basis. When Fuk is not playing Castro is the lead off hitter.....end of story. He bats 1st and Barney bats 2nd. It is not Reed Cobb 1st, Castro 2nd and Barney 8th.

I think Byrd was worried about getting hit in the face with a ball,if he comes up high at 2nd to break up a DP. If he wants to "halfass" it,go back to rehabbing at AAA. No room for that stuff here.

Wells gives up a two run BOMB to right in the first.
Now a runner on 2nd, still no outs this inning.

The bad resumes.

Sounds great, maybe I can catch the rebroadcast on Comcast in the afternoon. Doesn't Comcast have anything else to show instead of the Cubs misery?

I don't think Wells is having a down year or playing through injury. I think he is just a bad pitcher who experienced success in his first go around in the bigs. That is not unheard of when teams and players haven't scouted you first hand or actually hit off of you before.

I don't see anything encouraging in any facet of Well's game. He is a big league middle reliever at best. He doesn't do anything good..or even decent. At least Coleman has some movement on his stuff...he just needs to control it and he might be alright. Wells just gets ripped out there.

Hopefully he stormed off the mound threw some shit and punched the concrete wall with his hand.....and will be out for 6-8 weeks.

He is just going to get beat up for the rest of the year and that is that.

Ramirez is doing the cubs a big fuckin favor by driving up that value.
Would someone take the option year to trade him?

Wells had 1 semi-decent year in a down career.

Time to look to the Atlantic League.....Mike Loree is dealing there for the long Island Ducks. He isn't ancient either.

I think he would waive that option now that he is raking. Say a team agrees to acquire him and will give him the extra year. He then has to have a good year next year to get his new contract. If he waives it then he enters free agency with a good year statistically and will have more national exposure from being with a (most likely) playoff team. It would probably be better financially for him to waive it.

It would be smart for him to waive it. If so, watch Hendry give him away for peanuts.

Quade will say some BS about being encouraged because the games are close and they are only LOSING games by 1 run

Fuck this team. Fuck you rickets....you are a lazy POS owner.

Why is Soto hitting fucking 4th in the lineup, when pena is a classic #4 hitter?

Soto 4th and Pena 5th??

makes no sense...Soto isnt good enough to be higher then 6th on this team, and 7th on most teams!!

Ive given Quade the benefit of doubt mostly, but that one just makes no sense, especially with the tear that Pena is on
